Much needed Anti-Cheat improvement.

    I play this game since one and a half years now and i dont encounter cheaters often.
    But there definitely is a cheater problem in the hourglass game mode. I am sure that everyone who plays hourglass a lot wants nothing more than a anti-cheat system that actually does something. Unlike "Easy-Anticheat" that would kick you out of your session and make you rejoin , instead of banning the actual cheaters which (from what i have heard) use bypasses to avoid that.
    From what i have known this problem is present since quite a while and i think it should be the very first priority when it comes to improving hourglass.

    I really like this game a lot and i think the devs did a good job so far when it comes to PVP ,but in my opinion the hourglass gamemode experience would become a LOT better just by finally adding a proper anti-cheat system.

    Play on console with no cross matchmaking, done.

    I am a PC player genius XD. And switching to another platform does not really fix the issue itself.

    Changing or improving a cheat system don’t solve everything either. As stated by other players it seems.

    It’s a bandaid at best and every game has there fare share of cheats. But you also said “you don’t encounter often”
    Tells me it’s not huge issue as many claim.

    I say get rid of ezanticheat since they can't use it right. Apparently they made a change this update that is blocking my mouse softwares rebinds. I'm sure I'm in the minority so it might only impact a dozen people. But not cool to have it set my mouse buttons to the default values when I rebound my middle click to be more convenient. Noticed there's a new version of the mouse software I use (elecom) so I updated to that and now it keeps my mouse button mapping but prevents mouse looking. So I have to choose between resetting like 6 years of muscle memory of my mouse buttons so I can still use my current mouse for my job. Which I multi-task so SoT on one monitor work on another. Or I can try the impossible and try to play the game without the ability to aim and only being able to walk with WASD no mouse look/aim of any kind. Or I guess option 3 uninstall since they seem to want to break something that has worked fine for 6 years. Or option 4 I guess buy a new mouse altogether. None of these options are something I should have to do just because some developer decided to break something. I've been playing this game since it came out and other than animation canceling nerfs and actual game changes not had anything that has directly impacted my input controls. This is kind of ridiculous. Considering I don't really hourglass anymore ezanticheat has not upsides to the game for me. Just adds to the slow loading and now cherry on top it's messing with my mouse.

    @burnbacon yeah "not often" until recently
    I encountered like 6 cheaters this week (duo sloop so we could actually refer to 10-12) And I know that cheaters are a problem in almost any competitive game and you can't get rid of them as a whole. But you absolutely can reduce the amount of it and make it less common. And there are many anti-cheats that do their job better than Easy-Anticheat.
    Easy-Anticheat has build up a reputation for being bad in some other games too.
