    Fellow pirate pointed me to a twitch stream (boxy) that showed what looked like a nameplate hanging on the rear of a sloop, it disappeared as they got closer...

    @mostexpendable Eh I don't know if it's nothing, I know game dev and bugs can be weird but I don't think something like this just shows up and means nothing. Especially when ship changes have been a pretty recent thing that's been going on.

    @drizkillz hard to imagine it simply being a bug, maybe a bug that's revealing it ahead of turning the feature on.

    Can't imagine it being anything other than ship naming.

    How do we think it'll work? I doubt we'll just be allowed to type our own names. Rather, I think we'll be unlocking ship names through commendations, much like we do with titles.

    wish i could find it, but one of the Dev's has said that they plan on giving us the ability to name our ship (all 3 actually) if we buy a deed. we will also need to buy a new deed if we want to change the name.

    But that's not the interesting part, in the same interview they said that they plan on all PL's starting in the PL hideout and sailing out of the water fall to start there adventure.

    It was (hopefully still is) called Captaincy. I remember it was supposed to be the first update three months after release. Before they changed things up by popular demand.

    I know. I was trying to be wry. I think I need to use more emojis online.

    I’m honestly incredibly excited. My crew take a lot of pride in our ship. And would love to hoist her name up high for all to witness.
