Ship Repairs/respawn at outpost..

  • Be cool if while we’re turning in on a outpost if option to repair ship to a fully non damaged pristine ship was on ship customization person.. instead of having to scuttle for no reason to get a brand new pristine cosmetic looking ship again... just take x amount of gold for repairing ship to pristine looking again.

  • great idea, however i would personally say make it either free or a one-time purchase like emissary flags, since its only a cosmetic change

  • @duncanmacleod08 it certainly is a well-requested idea matey! Those who want a decent SoTShot for the month may appreciate it!

@Meroviel do you want your go faster planks removing for gold?!

  • @sshteeve But then...how would I go faster? I need the speed holes to be repaired by go faster planks so I can be the fastest ship on the seas!

  • @meroviel ...hear me out, new mechanic...go-fast stripe cosmetics that make my ship go faster.

  • @loaf-cat1384 Gotta go fast!

I just used speed holes, acquired through land-parking. Very good for aerodynamics.

  • @meroviel understandable. I wonder if I could make a spoiler with all these planks...

    LEGEND Parking!
I shall find the gif of Thor and Bull parking from a few years back!

  • I'm curious why they can't just make it so when a new ship cosmetic is applied it just refreshes it. All players would need to do is just swap skins back and forth to refresh it. The other option would be to just put text option to the shipwright. All the while, letting player who wish to keep their current look untouched.

All in all, this isn't really a priority in my opinion. Their already is a list of stuff that could be worked on over this.

  • I've been playing King of Seas recently, and while the damage to the players boat is inherently different in that game, there is a option to repair your boat at any dock for a fee (free if its the starter island).

While it isn't a day ruining thing, having a broken wheel or capstan and rolling around with the look of duct taped planks a-plenty isn't really my preference. I know peeps enjoy a battle scarred look, but I wouldn't mind an option in the shipwright to give my boat some TLC.

  • Cosmetics and peacocking are such a part of the game I don't see why it shouldn't be an option for those that are into that sort of thing

for me I just use the default ship and by time I'm done it's covered in so much damage it looks like I'm using a Bonnie and Clyde tribute shipset
