Did they change plans or are they still going to release 3

The initial content release plan (see link below) never stated there would be three large content updates at this stage, we have been promised updates on future plans soon though! So keep yer eyes peeled for that one!

Sorry, edited my post to be a bit clearer... the size of any upcoming updates may not be the larger size of the past few events.
Especially with things like the Bilge Rat Adventure: Festival of the Damned coming, there would only be Nov/Dec realistically left to squeeze them in, and with pets hinted at coming in 2019 now. So not sure if we will see three large events this year.
@roughleech03117 I could be misremembering, but when they announced the road map shortly after launch I took it they meant releases for year one - as in March 2018 to March 2019. Which would probably be a more realistic window in my opinion.

Agreed! Especially that the winter ends in March 2019 ;)

I believe that was wayyy back when they were hinting at Cursed Sails, which rhymed with Fall Snails.
@theassassinoath that was after cursed sails was announced. Winter doesnt end in December either so most likely one big update by dec end and the other two by end of March 2019.
@starquest Joe said the next update has something to do with a "shroud," most likely, then, he's speaking about new content that has to do with the Devil's Shroud. I'm not going to look back to find the exact timeline, but I would continue do discard the "Fall Snails" rhyme as a potential hint at this point.
@theassassinoath Yeah I remember him saying that and it is most likely the devils shroud if taken literally. Though he just said shrouded so could also be a mystery we uncover who knows.

I was under the impression the first year was referring to the games first year. Assuming three more major updates by March of next year. But I be ignorant sometimes.
That was exactly the impression that I got too. I figured we were looking at 6 total from March '18 to March '19.
So maybe 1 more larger update before the end of the year. Or the next major update will be early 2019.
