QUESTION: Switching from Xbox to Pc

  • I have decided that since my siblings and I fight over the Xbox to play Sea Of Thieves, why not just get it on your computer and play with them? My question though is if I switch from Xbox to Pc, is it possible to recover my coins and doubloons, or play on the same account. If this isn't possible, please make it possible. I feel that it's kinda needed in a cross-platform video game, if you want to try a new platform, you should be able to have the same things you worked hard for, on the other platform.

If you have a digital copy, then its cloud saved. So you can jump back and forth.

  • @dragonsire2016 I have a hardcopy, but is it still possible to use the same account?

@clonecody478 if you have the hard copy on Xbox, you'll have to buy the digital copy on Windows 10. Once you do that, you'll be able to log in with your existing Pirate and play.

i don tthink you need to buy the win10 version. You buy it once and you play anywhere

    hence "Play Anywhere" feature

just log into your account on the Xbox App for windows (which comes by default with win10) and the game will be available to download. all your progress coin doubloons etc will be the same. (it's not a copy) it's a cloud save so you can switch back and forth anytime you want and keep progressing where you left off the other one.

  • @clonecody478 I play on both all the time. It all carries over seamlessly

  • Yes. The game travkes over if you sign in with xbox app or the same id.

  • @draun25 Well, I mean to play on my pc without using or streaming to an Xbox.

  • @clonecody478 download the xbox app for PC sign into your xbox profile and see if you can if not youll need to buy the game through the windows store all your stats are the same, also no need to buy xbox live on PC.

  • It comes in very handy having play anywhere on this game, if the pc has issues, like mine is at the moment, you can just flick the xbox on and everything is there then work out the pc issue another day, cloud saves are awesome.

Just on another note you can plug your Xbox controller in via USB to use, its plug and play. If you have the elite controller, download the xbox accessories app and it will have your saved configs ready to go. So easy to use.

  • @william-flint yea you just log into your Microsoft account but you have to have a digital copy to do it
