    Hiding what mate? I'm not hiding anything, I close all other apps running, launch the game and play. I do know that every time I try to aim, my mouse speed gets a huge nerf and slows right down, does that happen with your xbox controller?

    Any Xbox user like to comment? Does your control speed change when you mount a canon or look through your spyglass?

    So it seems to me that if playing on a Xbox, and you choose to aim a canon or gun, that your pointer speed doesn't change at all? Hence no replies to my question? Its us PC players who have been nerf'd already.

    @flowerofcarnage You make a good point. I was just saying in "my experience" so far with the game I've had no problems with pvp. That being said I may have just not ran into any pc players yet, I doubt I'm that lucky though. And you can't say that practice doesn't make you better at things, not everyone can just pick something up and be a pro or even good right away, you have to practice, and review your weaknesses to become better at the task at hand. But I do understand your point mouse, and keyboard do have a competitive edge, and faster reaction to player input. ☺

    Crossplay is a terrible idea for any game with shooting in it.

    I love cross play but on this game it is killing it, i will not be playing much until we have the option for xbox only servers.

    To make things fair console vs PC then rare should implement in the game so a person on PC cant move its AIM faster then a person on Xbox. And also lock the FPS to 30fps on all hardware. And make it so PC planera have to use mouseclicks on screen to choose bananas instead of just clicking a button.

    If rare implement this in the game and make it impossible for PC players to cheat. Then sure we can have crossplay.

    But as it is now the PC players have to big advantage so Crossplay is not fair.

    And if PC players got nurfed down to 30fps no PC gamers would play this game anymore and the crossplay problem would be fixed 😂😂😂

    Communication is king in this game beyond individual skill. People say they can't tell the difference between xbox and pc; if I hear an enemy talking near me I know 100% they're on xbox in a random crew. The only way for xbox players to talk discreetly is to be in party chat, meanwhile my PC crew and I are saying "lets team up" in public chat and "yeah we're gonna kill them as soon as key drops" in discord. The ability to plan and coordinate actions without spilling secrets is more than enough to convince me that xbox players have been shafted.

    @pitmonk Controllers have a sensitivity options. It only helps aim in hipfiring. ADS slows the movement of aiming to a snails pace. The sniper rifle is useless against players as they bunny hop around and move everywhere that it's impossible to track a player target with it cause they can outrun the scope. Just have to hope to fire and it hits them at the right time. This applies to all weapons to. Blunderbusses need to be in your face to hit and ohk anyone and it has to be dead center. It's very hard to do that with a controller as console players aim using the movement of the character on the x axis to aim, as the analog stick is good but the thumb cannot reliably do precision aiming. The mouse is controlled by the wrist and shoulder joints, giving a wide variety of fast and precise aiming on the fly in any direction. The thumb is a single ball joint that cannot compete against two larger ball joints.

    @ershin666 Cross play is the way forward. As much as I despise consoles, I still think cross play is cool. Should be default.

    I appreciate your reply and explanation as to how the Xbox controls work. It does leave me wondering why on earth anyone would want to play games using a controller that's this awkward to use. I'll be sticking to my PC I think.

    I would love for X-Box to add Keyboard and Mouse support. Microsoft claims they've been working on it for awhile. However, I honestly believe that the support has already been coded and that they can add it at any time with the push of a button + software update. The reason they won't is because it will result in a massive loss in revenue from controller sales. It's my belief that Sony and Microsoft have a gentlemen's agreement and won't add Keyboard and Mouse support on either console until the other one does. As soon as one breaks the unspoken agreement and adds support, they both will.

    PS4 already has KB+M support, can use if the FF MMO so, I don't think that's the reason.

    Xbox users can use discord and other chat platforms if they choose to they have mobile apps, if they cant get the act together to use the same tools available to PC players thats their problem.

    one of my crews best PvPers is a console player, i really hate the term "Get good" but really guys you need to because when someone kills you in this game it doesnt flash up on your screen "that guy was on PC" you dont know what platform they are useing, you could have been killed by a console player just playing better then you. Why should PC players be punished? Because someones better at the game then you? there is always someone better then you, there is someone better then the guy that killed you and theirs someone better then that person to. People are blaming PC players because its an easy answer and easy answers dont solve anything, cutting off half the community to separate servers will only serve to make the matchmaker take ages to find a crew.

    @ebi-117 no one is saying all PC players are cheating, at least I'm not, but SOME PC players are using hacks. They will be banned from the game very soon, so I'm not worried, just clarifying.

    all this crying about controller vs keyboard & mouse is just petty then trying to say a possible fix to it is add keyboard and mouse support to console well lets put it this way this is definitely not the place to input that type of suggestion as this would rely on ms itself not rare.

    P.S if you don't wanna play against pc players then get off the game and play something else if you like the game then shut up complaining and play rather than complaining about it on the forums

    All the angry pc players totally against xbox players having the option of disabling crossplay, as it will take away all their easy kills!!
    They can't seem to grasp the fact that xbox players who pay for their online service, should have the option of whether or not they wish to play with pc players that have an advantage with their input device & who don't pay for their xbox live access.
    It is needed even more now that there are pc hacks being used!!!!

    @logansdadtoo what 60 dollars if that for 12 months gold lol you would be buying more than 10 years of gold just to match a single part in my rig and we also pay over 100 for a legit copy of windows from ms which can match 2 years of gold

    I love the PC and Xbox players play together. Would be horrible if now I could only play with like half of the people I play with because some only play PC.

    MK v Controller isn't even that big of an advantage. especially when a lot of the fighting will be ship v ship.

    Majority of pc players only play SoT to kill console players because they have a hardware advantage. That is the only reason they play SoT. Microsoft won't even allow that to those of us who own a xbox one x to get a advantage over base xbox one users. Xbox players can live without pc players fyi. Pc players like bullying console players, stop the bullying and separate the community. Once it's separated, pc players will go back to CS:GO, LoL, WoW, overwatch, CoD, BF1 or whatever game they usually play on a more serious manner and we xbox players won't have to deal with their bullying anymore and will actually have a chance in pvp for once.

    Uhh, no aim assist and there's no headshot or locational damage or anything. So you just have hit with your weapons. Which really makes PC's advantages pretty moot. Sure we can turn quicker, buf if you turn your sensitivity up a bit, not in a meaningful way.

    If we're talking snipers that's really a non issue, both because rare heavily handicapped the aim speed. But also because who the hell is using the sniper over the pistol or Blunderbuss.

    Outside of that controller users actually have several nice advantages due to vibration cue's and such which help in steering, in finding treasures etc.

    Finally a game I enjoy playing with my non pc masterrace friends.. does it really matter??

    I don't want seperated servers as I do want to be able to have this fun experience with friends that are on console..

    That is such a paranoid statement. Honestly, I doubt that many pc players bought the game just to hunt console players. We aren't some group of bloodthirsty boogymen that are out to get you. We bought the game because we like it, and this is the platform we have chosen to game on.

    I play on pc with xbox controller all the time.

    And I successfully sink nearly any ship in sight with my crew, don't see any trouble to kill mouse/kb enemies even one on one in melee - it's up to personal skills...

    So, stop crying, go play some solo games....
