I think I got the game for Free?!

    So, this is an unusual one, but I just want to get to the bottom of this.
    I am a PC Gamer - don't own an Xbox One.
    I played in the Stress Test (downloaded through the Microsoft Store) and when I went to buy the actual game on release - It wouldn't allow me to BUY the game, but I could STILL download it - even play it...
    Now...

    1. I DO NOT have Game Pass...
    2. I had $1.41 in my Microsoft Account
    3. Because of this, I will PROBABLY miss out on the Black Dog pre-purchase Bonus.

    Was I the "1,000,000th" Purchase and got it for Free?
    I would love to know how...

    @wulfric-nick83 If you played the stress tests i think you already preordered the game.
    Weren't stress tests open only to those who preordered?

    @happyalbe Not really, stress tests were also for founders and insiders, even if they didn't pre-order the game (which is my case, thanks Xbox pass trial!)

    1. Check your purchase history for your account at Https://account.microsoft.com.
    2. If the game is not there, contact the support.

    i mean you probably shouldn't draw attention to yourself if its true? buy the game for a friend if you feel guilty

    maybe your friend bought it and you're game sharing with them which would allow you to play the game as long as your game shared?

    @wulfric-nick83 That line where it said it cost 0.. yea maybe indeed you were the 1000th winner of facebook/twitter/hell knows what, and you missed the mail about it. No idea, I wish mine would have costed at least half the price.. :D

    That is so weird. May I suggest to contact the support? I'm pretty sure Rare would be happy to let you pay for the game.

    As a note, you should have asked earlier though. Game released 7 days ago exactly, so if you could not preorder you should have said that before. I don't think they're gonna give you the Black Dog, but it's worth a try.

    I wanted to pay for it... I have a Code with money on it ready to drop to buy it... but you're right about it being too late, I just didn't think much of it at the time, I had no idea what Game Pass was so I just assumed I had it, but then I thought about it and wondered... how the hell would I?

    @wulfric-nick83 Wait. You have Game Pass? Now that's explained. Game pass allows you to play the game on a monthly fee along with a lot of other games.

    EDIT: you said you don't have it.

    @davejc64 Nope, i'm straight and true... I would have loved to have payed... I love the game - Sure, it's a bit repetitive at times, but I love the times I've played with my Friends and Family... I want to Pay for that Time I've experienced and for those more I want to experience...
