Anyone Notice this Skull Key

    It's located in a cliff side beach cave. I wish I could remember what island. One of the walls looks like it could move, thus revealing the Pirate Hideout. My one doubt is that the cave is a bit small for a full ship to enter/exit.

    That was used for the Gamescom event. They left them in the game to let us remember how awesome it was. There are a total of 8 of those skulls.

    Ah so that's what that is. I saw another impaled by a stalactite but I forget which island.

    This was the event map given to us & we had to work out the clues & find the treasure.

    There were 8 skulls hidden in caves throughout the world. Once all 8 were found, you drew a line between their locations & where they intersected was where the treasure was.
    The 1st crew to find the treasure won a custom SOT xbox one console each :)

    @im-axis-rahl It really was an epic event, I don't think I've seen the community so animated before, there was real competition but also a great deal of excitement and helping out fellow pirates.

    It was an epic event and had us scratching our heads for the last skull for a bit! I love that they have been left in the game for others to still find and be curious about, and I hope they will be reused in some way, shape or form in years to come.

    So, wait... if there was 8 skulls and they intersected, wouldnt that mean they would be in game also intersecting and revealing something big and glorious (hint hint maybe the place of the legends tavern?) Can people start posting where these skulls were found? Just found one in Discovery Ridge.

    Is it not the gold hoarders symbol that’s on their tents and flags? I found one of the skulls last night on devils ridge behind the waterfall. Maybe the gold hoarders will start sending us after skulls too?
