Played solo hourglass tonight. Was only intending on getting a two streak to cash in then off to bed as none of my friends I played the game with are playing SOT anymore and I don't enjoy long sessions of solo HG. It's okay to drop in, win a few, lose a few, cash in a small streak and go away and that's about it for HG. I never go for LFG HG crews because they tend to be toxic.
Out of us all it's just me that occasionally hops back on SOT now. They've all left for other games and I doubt they will return any time soon if at all as it's been some time now and they are all getting their teeth into other titles and I can't persuade them to come and play SOT with me and I'm done asking. Quite a number of acquaintances I've made through SOT no longer play very much either. It's sad times.
Anyway, I was winning the solo HG match this evening and the other player sloop was in a bad way, the reason I know this is because I got their mast down twice and filled them full of holes but they managed to harpoon me onto their ship. I heard their sloop creaking and I saw they were filling up above their stairs but I couldn't use my weapons, throwables, food or any items at all. I stood there helplessly while they bucketed water out of their sloop, I actually gave up on the match there and then and even tried to help them bucket the remaining water out and I couldn't even do that.
I stood on their canopy and watched my sloop sail off out of bounds.
This is not the first time this has happened.
This bug has been happening off and on for a long time.
When I Respawned at the outpost (because I didn't vote to go in for another HG match after that) I entertained the thought of maybe trying one more time or doing a quick voyage to end on a high note but as I tried to sprint to my sloop waiting at the end of the jetty I found I couldn't sprint, I tested the button out three times and I couldn't sprint at all and that's when I decided that was enough for me.and quit out.
