  • @lio-barbosini any chance you have 'reduce hold to use item' turned on in accessibility under input? having that on means click/button to ads and stays there, otherwise the default is press and hold.

  • Wait toggle ads is a thing...? Yikes, I'd hate to be stuck using that...

  • @drizkillz Oh damn, i did have that turned on, thank you so much!

Sorry for being such a noob, got the game like 4 days ago x)

  • @gallerine5582 Yeah, it's pretty weird, even after you chamber the bullet, it ADS's again x) But @DrizKillz solution worked :D

  • I just had this same issue and I gotta say (here probably isn't the best place but I'm mad and I'm gonna vent) this is so stupid. these things should be separate. I like hold to ADS like so many other games have, I also don't like holding down E for 5 seconds to pick something up, I should be allowed to use the option to have E be a press to pick things up and have it not affect my ADSing. honestly the dumbest thing I've ever seen I swear people making games these days forget the most obvious stuff that has been almost standardized over the years (an option for hold or toggle ADS) it's really got me so angry and put me off dumbing another 1k hours in to this game after a long break. I was enjoying all the new stuff that's been added in the time I haven't played (first year PL) and then I'm messing around with my settings seeing all the new options for quality of life stuff, "oh cool I don't have to hold to pick stuff up with this little box" .. some time later. combat! me getting stuck in my spyglass thinking I swear this didn't used to be toggle.., then with my pistol same issue, ahh wth, lemme check settings, hmm don't see an option for toggle ADS, must be a change they made. (one google search later and I'm just angry now)
