I think it would be cool if the tavern becomes a place for crews to interact. Like they could have an area for dueling against other crews and your own. Maybe they could have some tables where games like liar's dice could be played. There could be a way for crews to join an alliance that makes them a single crew and you could respawn on either ship (this might be a little unbalanced so maybe not).
