Can we have the ghost set now?

Agree, Pirate Legends need some love. We need more things to buy.

It would be nice to have items to match lots of sets. More ghost items would be very welcomed. However, there needs to be more ghost clothing options than the current clown looking outfit.

The elitism among PL's is always entertaining to me.

SoT is a game where complete sets are an exception not the rule.

Yeah, I think Rare probably secretly hoped (or more likely expected) people to become bored by the time they're at PL and that if they weren't that Athena's
and Ashen Athena's
and Ghost stuff
and Legend stuff
and Anniversary stuff
and Legend versions of all Mercenary quests
and new accomodations
and titles
and general title hunting
and achievement hunting
and then Arena
and then Hunter's Call
and then playing the new fortnightly content drops (I have been having a blast with Dark Relics)
and new ship sets
and new character sets
and helping friends get PL
and oh wait...
That's a lot of stuff,
I'm not PL and the only thing I could add to that list of stuff to keep me entertained is well...

And yet some claim "PLs need some more love",...
I'm thoroughly suprised Joe Neate hasn't broken down on the weekly developer stream and screamed "WHaT dO YoU WaNt FRom uS?!"

Just to clarify though, this is not the case for ALL Pirate Legends, or even a majority, just some of them.

@ultmateragnarok The Pirate Legend Bilge Rat Voyages are scrap, they don’t even reward reputation for Athena’s Fortune. The weapon set was for the “birthday event” which as we know somehow lasted like 5-6 months. Ghost ship liveries I didn’t know they were added later in the game. Still tho they must have been very very early added. The Athena’s commendations suck. They aren’t even worth it. Arena, Hunters, and Bilge rats were added for everyone. Not just us PL’s. They also don’t matter since we don’t get anything from reaching level 50 in any of the new factions. Except the basic everyone things.

They appear to be gratuitously "waiting for the right time" to release this stuff. Pirate Legends have needed new things to do and earn for a long time. I hope they get around to adding these Ghost items in as Pirate Legend exclusives within the next few months, in addition to more Pirate Legend exclusives we can earn.

It's nice, but why has this been the only addition to the Ghost set in a full year and a half?

Every voyage got an Ashen Variant... All it means is that it's higher value in takes place in the Devil's Roar, this is not new and meaningful content designed for Legends. Don't get me started on the Ashen Mercenary Voyages... This is such a poor excuse for proper Pirate Legend content. Again, this adds nothing of real game-changing value to the game for Legends.

-Pirate Legend commendations

Should have been in the game from the beginning to be honest... Again, most of this is repeats of stuff we already do as non legends, but it allows an excuse to lock 2 items per super-lengthy grind... Sure it's something to do, but not substantial.

-Pirate Legend Bilge Rat commendations

Oh you mean the ones that come with the meaningless Devil's Roar versions of the event voyages that don't even reward a title?

-All of the content released to the non-PL community (Sea Dogs/Arena, Bilge Rats, Hunter's Call, QoL changes, new cosmetics, etc.)

All of these things are fantastic - they truly enrich the game as a whole and I could commend Rare all day long for the amazing work they did on these things, but none of this stuff is truly built and oriented specifically for Pirate Legends, which is what we're still missing.

and even more stuff, didn't exist? Yeah, no attention to the Legends here. None at all.
As for equipment/weapon sets, they've been missing from both since launch, and only recently was the Pirate Legend weapon set introduced. Those are long overdue, yes. Them and secondary Ghost ship liveries.

There has not been proper attention given to Pirate Legends. At all.

They have been focused on the wider player base for the entire duration of the game. They have sprinkled bits and pieces for Legends here and there whenever something they're currently working on for the game allows them to piggyback off of it and throw in a "Pirate Legend version" of whatever it is, but you cannot tell me that they have sat down and taken the time to build and design something from the ground up specifically for Pirate Legends.

Sorry for interrupt you guys. Just a though... who cares about PL any more? Being a PL means something nowadays? I think not... everyone can become PL in a couple of weeks and most of the PL I see lately, they just suck!

Don't get me wrong. I think it's time we get the ghost set, along with the missing legendary equipment. Rare made a good decision: the game needed content to attract new players and I've enjoyed all the content added along this year but...

...more stuff for PL? I don't what it could be... but please NO more grinding. But hell yeah! Bring me those ghosty cosmetics! Athena's hideout could be reworked a bit as well :P

One voyage that is a variant of that months clone of a clone of a clone repeat voyage event to earn XP to become a Pirate Legend, is not true new content. There needs to be a lot of content added for the game to grow way beyond Athena 10. They have waited way too long and just repeat everything over and over just to level new players. All because players keep leaving and they have to try to lure the new ones who will not stay long either.

Yes, the legend status needs some more perks and rewards, but Rare does see all of the complaining done about it, and are likely already working hard to complete it.

As far as we have see for over a year and a half now no they are not. Rare is the worse for communicating and being transparent.

Mercenary Voyages aren't true content as a whole, not just for the legendary versions. They are more for expanding the lore and the world right now, and giving a few new cosmetics and things to do.

They are just recycled, renamed, recolored, and retextured items and voyages that we all have down over and over and over and over and over and over...

So far for a year and a half Rare has done nothing but redo everything over and over. Just more ways to do the same things to level. Nothing truly new to grow and expand the game. No truly new content since the Bilge Rat adventures last year which where just quick fixes because they basically released Sea of Thieves in a less than early access state.

No here we are all this time later and the only thing new is a cash shop with ridiculous prices for content that would be better served as official DLC. The pets are still simple two dimensional press on additions to the game. Still not ready for release unless it was free.

There are not new cosmetics. No additions except for a few slim picks as time limited exclusives. How many times did they just slightly change those silly looking reaper sails? Now they are just recoloring cosmetics that have already been released and charging either doubloons or ridiculous amounts of gold for the same thing.

All they are doing is waiting to slowly milk every bit of money they can, through their ridiculous cash shop, out of those who decide to keep purchasing the same thing over and over as we all are told to keep playing the same game over and over while Rare and their cheerleaders keep telling us hey it all is new and great. Well most of us are not buying the bull or the money trap items.

They just focused on content for everybody first, rather than just the people at end. They put developer videos weekly up, (something ive not seen a company do before.) They offer the ability to see and test new stuff before it comes out. Tell me again, how are they "Worse for communicating and being transparent"?

I think there is a lot of players who will disagree with this. There are no new cosmetics in the game. There are constant recolors of everything. Now with the new event there is not items tied to the event. Just recolored items of previous exclusives.

Only few new items are in the cash shop. That is the way it is going to be. Everyone was warned what the cash shop would mean to the game. From this point on Rare will only care about the money grab from the cash shop. That is why the new event of delivering cargo is the worse event so far.

You do not get it. It is ok. Weekly dev videos do not mean they are transparent either.
