Is Order of Souls a waist of time?

@beanmariocow nah ive actually had more success almost with the order of souls, multiple times i have gotten 500-600 coin- skulls whereas i usually only get castaways or sefearers even when im level 15 as a gold hoarder. But if you spot one, skelton forts are defenitely the way to go if youre effective.

There are people who say that all videogames in general are waste of time, not just one kind of quests in SoT.

Apart from that, it depends on what you want from the game. Get maximum gold per game hour? Than yes, probably it's waste of time. But if you want at least some variety in what you are doing and/or get to the pirate legend, than it's not. Up to you. :)

Yes, i’m almost level 15 in it. I have the level 10 perk.

When i did the gold hoarders, i got 3 captains chest in 2 voyages. I had a total of 5k gold in just 2 voyages, when i only earned less than 2k gold with 3 voyages with order of souls

I Hate to be that guy, but twice in one post? its WASTE. ;)

That said, upgrade your status.. the villainous skulls can be worth more than 1K each, and fighting skeletons is ridiculously easy, since they can't climb rocks.

(That REALLY needs to be addressed!)

It is not a waste of time if you want legend status. You have to have 50 in all three.

I find this just as fun as the gold hoarders, and yes, i like variety, but for now im looking for gold per hour.

Does the vil skulls only happen with level 15 quests? Im only level 10 atm

Yes but im pretty sure that the vil skulls are the most valuble skull, and im pretty sure it doesn’t give that much.

@beanmariocow That is odd. Can't remember their names off the top of my head, but there are higher value skulls - I think the highest one I've found is a Villainous Skull. They're out there, maybe you've just not had the best luck with their drops?

Is the villanous skull the same value as a captains chest?

no... you get semi money

@beanmariocow They are not. There are skulls in the game people haven't found yet. I got 1300g+ each for a 3man crew off a skull last night that dropped on a level 15 mission. We also found a red and gold skull from a shipwreck that we didn't get to turn in because someone matchmade into our crew when someone else left and they stole our ship and we weren't able to get it to an outpost.

No it doesn't :)

LOL.. C'mon! When I can take on three "boss" bounty skeletons and their crews from on top of a rock without eating one banana, there's a problem.

(And the WORSE thing? I couldn't complete the entire quest because one of the boss's skulls landed inside the map (a boulder), along with at least one of the standard skellies. I could hear him/them, but couldn't kill them.)

@ghostwolfviking Dope, I haven't done one yet. I did find 3 crates of rare tea and a glowy skull off one shipwreck last night though. Shipwrecks definitely some of my favorite loot right now.
