While I can not deny that you guts are working hard at making the game better, how about finally adding in the captaincy update that was supposed to be given as the very first update. I don’t know about anyone else, but pirate legend sucks. You grind there reading companies just to get another one that’s harder to grind for. There is no actual reward, but if players got to design their own ships with custom made cosmetics for the ship, their player and their weapons, I think this would make pirate legend be way better, and more people would grind for it. But as it stands, there is no difference between being a PL and not being a PL, there is no actual reward for PL and it makes the whole effort worthless.

@ninja-naranja while yes you do get pirate legend only cosmetics, it’s only three, and here I’m talking about custom made, not pre-made. For example, if you want a rubber duckie figurehead and cannons you could make that, name your ship even, actually make your ship unique and feel like yours. You know what I mean?

Custom cosmetics - With very large restrictions so it isn't abused, yes. Here's an idea: It's ridiculously expensive or bought will a great deal of ancient coins (To make custom cosmetics very, very rare), and you can make whatever you want, but it has to go through a human moderator for it to be usable. This is a kind of out-there idea, though.Ship naming - Yes, if it works the same way pet naming does.
Captaincy - No. I am one of those very strange people against a captaincy update. Partially because I don't want assigned or even voted upon roles. If you wish to hear my other reasons, feel free to ask.

Now I don’t understand this point, this idea is for everyone to make a ship unique to them, not just me. So are you saying that everyone who wants a so unique to them should join Rare just for that reason alone?? I feel like you’re not understanding what I’m saying. Here let me put this into perspective, imagine having your own shop that is named and designed by you, after reaching pirate legend. It would be a way to make your journey unique from everyone else and show of your achievement of reaching PL. this also allows for your ship to have its own “personality” so to speak. Instead of having cosmetics that every player has, or seeing the same cosmetics over and over this allows some creativity and some uniqueness to the game. Plus the ship actually feels like yours, instead of a ship that you loaned from the ship maiden.

I agree and I was thinking instead of ancient coins, a paid for app on mobile and pc. You get to design everything and send it in for review. If it follows guidelines it’s approved and since it would be synced with you account you would then find said custom cosmetics in the game itself. And as far as the Captaincy itself I don’t remember all the specifics but I thought it was all about having your own hideout after becoming PL and designing a ship. Please correct me if I’m wrong and explain the Captaincy concept.
