Pirate Profile

  • Since some people cannot truly afford more than an hour at a time, yet they wish to play the game for its adventure feel, I believe every pirate profile should be able to save a ship, which means that the customization will be saved as the default, and the ship REALLY needs to save its cargo; if the game functioned is such a way, then people like myself who cant play too much at a single time could truly enjoy the game to its fullest potential. FURTHERMORE, this will overcome the fear of overpowered pirate profiles because it's sea of thieves after all...pirates lived a short, however, thrilling, excited life--everyone eventually dies.

  • @j-publius no saving supplies is a bad thing.

Saving supplies and cargo is a bad idea. Not only does it give power to older players over newer ones, which the game strives to avoid, but it also allows for a multitude of exploits. Say you're chasing someone, what stops them from switching servers with all of their supplies? Or say you're trying to complete an ashen stronghold or FotD, but serverhoppers can now switch with their ship loaded with supplies, which you now have to constantly fend off as they use their amassed thousands of resources to simply withdraw from the fight and repair before attacking again?
If you don't have enough time, play Arena. It's made as a 30 minute version of Adventure, the majority of a session's interactions in just that time without the erraticy and unpredictability that make Adventure sessions so long. You need to set time aside for a proper session in Adventure.
