Ahoy me mateys! I have the original Xbox Elite controller, and the only disappointing thing to me currently, is that the paddles can only be assigned to the abxy buttons. Sure, you can rearrange them however you want, but they are still at the end of the day locked to those buttons. Which means, you do not get any extra buttons. Now, I do like them as they make turning and jumping at the same time much easier. But I would love to have them as added buttons, so that I can map other things to them like equip fruit, or cannon balls, or any number of other things out there.
Reading through the sales brochure on the series 2 and they say you can use a shift key to get more mapped buttons. Does this mean you are only able to change them to mapped to another control input already on the controller, or does this mean that you can have the shift key change them to additional button choices?
