Bilge Rat Commendation Total...

    I was wondering what the total number of Bilge Rat commendations was prior to the Forsaken Shores commendations being added. I had 79/79 previously and a friend of mine stated that he had 71/88, did I just missed something or is this is a bug?

    @mf-mrpickles it appears that the new Commendations were set to automatically release to coincide with the Forsaken Shores launch and weren't/couldn't be delayed as the update was.

    That might account for the extras?

    @triheadedmonkey I was meaning before the new commendations were released as I now have 79/111 and I just watched a video where the player had x/116. I have/had fewer total commendations before and after the release.

    then I am at a loss I'm afraid...unless some don't appear until you start/finish them, I honestly couldn't say.

    Xbox Achievement cover some commendations...maybe some don't show as commendations?

    I tried to find back where I read that but it kind of works like that I think:

    The total number can be different for each players because the commendations not unlocked from previous events are hidden. When you'll unlock them, they'll appear and the total amount will increase :)

    Yes, you have missed quite a lot going by those numbers.

    The change was made immediately after the cursed sails event went belly up by the Ancient Spires defeats not registering for everyone.
    While many were convinced they had achieved the event, there was a fault with the commendations in the second week.
    So rather than go through checking the data logs of millions of accounts to rectify this or the alternative of leaving us with 84/85 commendations, tarnishing an otherwise perfect record, Rare decided to simply remove the incomplete ones.

    I think it's now X/118 with the prematurely added Forsaken Shores commendations.
