One Piece Would Be Perfect for Sea of Thieves

  • Ay, The Pirates of the Caribbean collaboration was absolutely amazing, and I loved every second of it. But have you ever considered a collaboration with One Piece?

If Luffy were in Sea of Thieves, I would probably play every single day. Just imagine the possibilities: a Wano-inspired island, Impel Down somewhere in the middle of the map, special voyages based on iconic story arcs... the possibilities are endless.

You could bring elements from different One Piece arcs into the game, add cosmetics inspired by the Straw Hat Pirates, and maybe even let us sail under Luffy's flag.

One Piece is recognized all over the world and has an enormous fanbase. A collaboration like this could attract a lot of new players while giving existing pirates something truly special to experience.

It would be absolutely awesome to see what the Sea of Thieves team could create with such a rich universe.

  • As someone who grew up on anime (bebop, kenshin, inuyasha, trigun to name a few), my hot take is that one piece always seemed pretty mid. Even the non-filler episodes (which seemed more common than naruto) were mid.

But for whatever reason, it is popular & SoT probably could use the revenue. I'm actually surprised they haven't collabed on ship sets or something at this point, even if a whole TT series is out of place & unlikely.

  • It will not happen, Oda has rights for both Netflix adaption and anime and let's say SoT lately is not a good press.

So nope and probably not beosue Rare don't want it as they tey to squize every coin available from game. Right now.

I thought the same thing when I was growing up with it. Now that I've gone back and watched it as an adult, I understand completely all the things I missed before. It's just as good in quality of story and emotion as the other anime you listed that I also love. The only difference is that One Piece is very much longer, a true Odyssey, not just in length, but exploration of themes. Even if you do decide to never watch it, the story is good enough that it's worth reading if you ever decide to take that path instead.
