People play on consoles because everyone is on an equal footing regarding hardware. I shouldn't have to be forced to play against PC players. If I wanted to, I would play on PC. Crossplay should always be optional, not mandatory.

And no, I do not want to see mouse/keyboard support on Xbox for this game or any other game. That just defeats the purpose of using consoles.

Microsoft should not be making multiplayer or PVP games where PC has such a huge competitive advantage cross platform. This is particularly true for one of very few Xbox exclusives.

There are a lot of reasons people play games on console. One of the reasons is that consoles provide a custodial gaming experience where there are far fewer cheats and hacks for multiplayer and the likelihood of being caught cheating is much higher with much higher consequences (since losing your Xbox Live account could cost you games you purchased).

Many PC games are rampant with cheaters, the risk of both being caught and having any real consequences is lower; and there is literally an entire industry of cheat program developers that charge for cheating services.

Anger and complaints from the Xbox community is how consumers force companies to take their concerns seriously because it threatens future revenue. Perhaps enough anger and frustration will make it worth it for Rare and Microsoft to separate PC and Xbox servers for players that wish to play separately.

I have been PC gaming since the early 80s. Probably longer than you have been alive. I am primarily a PC gamer now. With a dual video card in SLI, M.2 drive, and three monitor rig.

I am not ignorant of PC gaming nor am I ignorant of the how there is an industry of cheat program designers making a living off of creating exploit and cheat programs.

The only ignorance on this subject being demonstrated is yours.

Again, the cheater scene happens in every damn platform in the market, how is possible that the console players live in this delusional bubble of rainbows and unicorns?, Bungie had to ban thousands of players in Destiny 1. Wake up.

Nobody is saying that cheating never happens on consoles. But the frequency is much higher on PC, accessibility of exploits is higher, the NUMBER of exploits and cheats available is greater, the likelihood of getting caught is lower, and the COST of getting caught is lower. Since the PC itself cannot be rendered nearly useless like a console ban can. On a PC only the software license/account is banned.

And an account ban on a PC almost always effects one game only. An account ban on Xbox effects much of the player's library and all his progress across his entire library. Including real money spent on DLCs across multiple games.

The result is cheating on console is simply no where near the extent it is on PC. Arguing that makes you just seem either completely dishonest or unable to understand the entire point of the discussion.

Additionally, you conveniently miss the point of the fact that PC have a competitive advantage in game due to the control scheme.

Since console gamers are merely asking that cross platform be optional for the player there is literally zero reason for a PC gamer to argue against it other than the desire to force a situation where the maximum number of players with competitive disadvantages are playing against the PC player.

So the entire motivation for you arguing against option cross platform is suspect since the ONLY justification is you want to maintain the status quo of having a competitive advantage against the maximum number of players possible.

And despite that motivation you have the audacity to call those players "whiners". Which is nonsense. The real whiners are the entitled nitwits that spend their time on these threads trying to maintain their competitive advantage.

Finally, we were discussing PC gaming. I played pong in the 70s. PONG SYSTEMS WERE MARKETED AS CONSOLES.

And those cheaters will be banned in SoT if the Microsoft system is so hacks-free as you claim. The fact is that this is a neverending fight, on PC and consoles, I am tired of your manipulations, you demand the end of crossplay because there are PC players and that's the kingdom of hackers, so your starting point is a nonsense, the porcentage of cheaters in PC games with professional anti-cheat systems is minimal and there are cheaters on console...do I ask for the removal of XBox players in SoT because some console players are cheaters?, no, pal, we must demand good anti-cheat systems, end of the story.

I said it is easier to cheat on a PC.

I play on both, and yes I know what I am talking about. And when I say rampant I mean across ALL games. Not just this one. The amount of PC hackers compared to console hackers is 1000 fold. I may have worded it a bit weird as you might have thought I meant that cheating is rampant in SoT. Which it is not IMHO. I have only come across one. But please do carry on about how ignorant I am....

Well he played music while I shot him in the face 5 times point blank...If he aint hacking then he found one hell of a bug. He then killed our crew and sunk us. No one could kill him. But he is the only person I have come across that I think was cheating. Most others are just PC players kicking my a*s when I am on xbox. Can I ask why it seems you think no one hacks? I have seen the damn wall hacks and aimbots, just google it... I mean I find it funny when people say everyone is a hacker, but I find it funny that some say there are no hackers. Yes they have systems in place to stop jailbreaking/JTAGs, but these can be bypassed and work the same way (essentially), as any PC anti-cheat out there. People WILL bypass anti-cheats, but there will always be a patch to combat it.

Also, your story doesn't make sense. If you knew how this game works, you would know damage is handled server-side. There is no cheat/hack that can give you god mode, its impossible. He was either lagging or healing up and destroying you guys :/

Of course he was, I'd say go check the video on this very forum with a hacker doing the same thing , but they deleted it. Keep on with that there is no health hack, tote that line as long as you need to man. When its revealed that it is happening, you can explain/excuse that as well.
