@weepaperboats He started with a handful of viewers and more and more and more people came to his stream to offer their assistance they came together as a community with a single goal help their chosen Pirate King become a legend!
Lol I would not call this cheating but an amazing show of community!
He used no hacks or exploits or glitches he simply played the game and accepted the help offered to him by group of people its not against the rules so its not cheating.
Kind of off-topic, but you like One Piece by chance?
I watched some of it, but not all of it. I know what it is though! I like Nami.
Especially post-time skip. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

"He abused his position"
This isn't politics he had no position in SoT to abuse, he was a pirate like everyone else.
"He used exploits"
No exploits were used and you seem to not know what the word means.
"He AFKed"
Wrong again he was not AFK he was hopping in and out of gamesToo easy
@cpt-rikari Never actually watched it no wait I did watch the first few episodes years back but didn't like it why?
-
he as a popular streamer used viewers to boost him in trade for them appearing on stream simple abuse of his position as a popular guy.
-
seen clips of him standing still jumping as everyone else does the work.
idc if your a fan of him or not. the way he achieved this was wrong and not in the spirit of the game. "hopping crews" is ok but for the pure sake of letting people boost him is not.

@thegr8artiste how was that racist?
The colour of his skin was brought into it needlessly.

I don't know the guy and never will, I didn't watch the stream and won't.
I just call BS when I see it.
Also, #### the "spirit of the game" the spirit of the game is whatever I decide it to be.-

Can I ask how he formed groups that gave him a advantage?
Rare hasn’t implemented the ability to join specific parties already playing right?
The official discord has like 50+ groups going at all times, and they're helping him.
@ersatz-nihilist no that's called an adjective, if he had said just another lazy white kid, thus implying that all white kids are lazy because they're white, that would be racist
@thegr8artiste thats fine, can you honestly agree with a popular streamer sitting idly whilst his viewers boost him to legendary for the sake of him receiving more popularity?. He has 0 clue how to play the game normally anyway. Cant even tell the difference between stores.
Our first pirate legend lacks basic game knowledge because he BS'd his way to the position

If I'm reading this right: He's a pretty popular Twitch streamer. Like currently, he has 12k viewers on this awful Pirate Legend stream. His chat, and his own crew is literally doing all the work for him.
Prior, he would have his streamers do voyages and he would hop from pirate to pirate/crew to crew before they turned in their goods/voyages. He was already a popular guy, and used his community to his complete advantage and by-pass actually playing the game. There's also a Discord that was helping him.

You sound like you're upset that he got there first over someone else you were rooting for.
I know I'm not in your conversation but I wanted to jump in here. I'm rooting for whoever is out there that has grinded their butt off doing voyages and committed the most time to the game.
Am I upset? No, not really. It means next to nothing to me if we're being honest. But, I would rather have the first person to reach pirate legend be the person who put forth the most effort.
I've said this before but probably no one saw it. In Runescape, a player known as Zezima became a legend and public icon in the community because he was at the top of the high-score list (although I don't think he got all 99's first). I was hoping the first person to get pirate legend in SoT would be just as iconic to us.
