@zsneakydude God forbid anyone wants to see a game combat toxicity like other games do, I'm so sorry for suggesting such a horrible thing! I enjoy the pvp by the way, I'm not one of those people who wants the game to be pve.

see this is just that mage, you have no actual arguments that aren't based on feelings, that is the real issue here.
Look, the best indication you have on what people think is to simply look at how many people clicked on this thread, we are now at 1,2k, so let's assume about 40-60% read a bit of what you and the rest of us had to say, if there actually was a huge problem with toxic people, don't you think your post would have more people agreeing with you, rather than me or Face?

My experience so far with the community here is they are very much against anyone who suggests that any aspect of the game is made easier in any way, as if their precious game would be ruined by players being more informed of their options and how to play.

Open your minds people. We're not looking to be coddled, we just want to know what the heck we're doing, and there is a line between good fun PvPing and just being a toxic jerk. Getting into a battle, even if you lose, can be plenty fun. Being stalked is not fun.

That's why I'm asking a mod to lock this thread. Sick of nasty individuals spamming me about how wrong I am for suggesting something so abhorrent (battling toxicity). You're a breath of fresh air. Thanks for your input, and I agree. I would like this thread to just die but every time an accusation is made against me (like I'm somehow a f*****t?) it draws me back into the thread. acting like there is a huge toxicity problem in the game is the actual issue, because there is none, but OP is making it out to be, because of feelings not facts, that is the problem, people wanting key elemtents of a game to change because a: they couldn't win and that b: hurt their feelings
yes OP was subjected to harsh toxicity, had she used the simply mute function she wouldn't have been :)

@lobofh exactly, and if people overstep these limits there are systems in place that allow you to combat it
you can mute voice chat, noone is making you read text chat, noone forces you to stay in the same lobby as someone who is hateful and if you are getting griefed you can always outplay someone or simply reset somewhere else.

That wasn't pvp that was griefing. The people who did it and the people who think it's ok to do that are just a*****s. I also don't agree with the people who told you you should have fought back. IMO you should have driven off the map so they couldn't have the satisfaction of sinking your ship or killing you. If every victim of griefers would do that it would make the game just as frustrating for griefers as the people they are chasing. There's only so many times you can chase a guy for a half hour or more only to have to give up without even being able to shoot at them because they drove off the map. We need to establish, "drive off the map when being chased" meta.

And having a mute button helps a lot, I agree, yet what does muting those people help if they can just continue their toxic behavior unpunished?
I say punish that behavior, and it's not hard to do with a report button that records a happening so the people that are supposed to can check what went on and judge the situation.

and we have given constructive feedback multiple times, simply look at our first posts, it details multiple ways how Lvl mage could have dealt with the issue, instead of seeing that she persisted in her view of there being a large toxicity problem without stating any argument for that being so.

So yes, I will use the report feature that is available to me, if when I tell someone I'm done talking to them, and yet they continue to message me/spam me, I will use it. This isn't a matter of opposing opinions, you both have done nothing but be utterly nasty to me.

You're not helping. If you were helping you could do that WITHOUT calling me a crybaby f*****t who is expecting too much even when it's been done before in different games. I've brought up the issues with reporting on XBL and the only response you gave me was, "lol you can't remember 4 names to report to XBL? weak"

yes of course toxicity should be punished, it is, but if you are in a match with people being rude, why stay and let them, in your words, abuse you, my argument is leave/make them stop/use the tools so it doesn't affect you in the slightest, i never said take it and be happy with it, you are twisting my argument
