    Some TortugaTomatos

What is that? Google seems unable to find an example or maybe @ShadowStrider-7 knows

I'm actually at a loss. Maybe it's a play on words?

@ivorydoll If you're feeling super adventurous, you could prepare some Baby Kraken, though it looks as if it requires a bit more effort!

I live in the states, but I had the pleasure of drinking this gem when I backpacked through Europe. So smooth and rich with vanilla. It's easy to forget that it's alcoholic!

  • @shadowstrider-7 oh yeah thats definitely true haha! So damn good.

  • @touchdown1504 unfortunately that is beyond my cooking skills. It does look amazing.

That sounds amazing. I wonder if you can buy it online and ship to the US.

  • @ant-heuser-kush that is a cool idea. If I tried a deep fryer I fear my house may end up in flames.

  • There is always Long John Silvers. Nothing says pirate food like some real greasy fish.

  • alt text Possibly some RumHam?

That looks disgusting, but the intertube looks relaxing. I'm glad to see you on the forums, hope we meet on the seas again.

  • There's always Spinach ARRRtichoke dip.

  • @ivorydoll said in SoT launch party....what pirate food should I serve?:

Alright pretty easy one here....Give me your best pirate food and beverages for a SoT launch party. Don't worry the Captain Morgan will be flowing. My goal is to make everyone in the forums hungry for some pirate snacks. Pictures do an even better job of making people hungry.

As a great pirate once said...

Rum, Beer, Quests and Mead. These are the things that a pirate needs

  • @ivorydoll Pickles and Eggs! Becuase of Sinbad! Hahaha

Ya know what... 15 years later. I just got that joke. Don't serve pickles and eggs.

  • @tenacious-den YES!

  • @ecljpse Blimey! Are they Kosher and hard boiled, me heartie? Love it!

Well 2 of those I can assure you will be served, rum and beer. I would love to try some mead as it sounds delicious. But my last experiment in home brewing some hard cider was a disaster, and I am not sure if mead is sold in the US anywhere. The quests I will leave to Rare

  • @ivorydoll I’m eating a very piratey food right now. Pork scratchings. Yummy. It’s more of a 1 man party though.

  • @snowbodhi what are pork scratchings? Like pork rinds?

  • alt text)

thats what german pirates should eat.it looks disgusting but it has a good taste..the cale protect u against the scorbut cause vitamine c

  • @ivorydoll Apparently so. Is that the American term? I’ve spent quite a bit of time in the US but never heard them called that before.

  • @ivorydoll I can’t find any evidence that pirates ate them, but they were popular with working class Britons in the 1800s so it wouldn’t be unthinkable.

  • @snowbodhi yes pork rind is the American term. I personally like the BBQ flavored ones.

  • @weedstar-deluxe that looks delicious I love some Kielbasa sausage, sauerkraut, and potatoes. Was that kale or spinach in the photo?

  • @ecljpse I quite like pickles and eggs, deviled of course. 😝 I haven't watched that movie before, I'll have to watch before launch.

  • @ivorydoll said in SoT launch party....what pirate food should I serve?:

@touchdown1504 unfortunately that is beyond my cooking skills. It does look amazing.

Cookbook...YouTube...etc. We live in a world where if you put the effort, and a little faith in yourself, you can do anything. Including cooking Octopus!

  • @touchdown1504 trust me, you haven't experienced my cooking and probably don't want to. When I bring things to potlucks or family functions they always want know if I bought it.
