New feature, pull boards off repaired holes

    There are many times toxic players will claim they had to spawn camp you because they had no other way of sinking you. This idea will fix that and give more incentive to repair your ship at the shipwright. You can pull boards off repaired holes, they can only become tier 1 holes. You don't need to add an item just animate the shovel to pry the board off. It would take the same time as fixing a tier 3 to pull a board off and it would only cause a tier one leak. This same method could be used against skelly ships too. If you do actually do this please don't forget about the cool gold hoader who suggested it! I want nothing but recognition, thank you for your time!

    Maybe they could add a boarding axe so that you could take them off rather than just being able to pull them off? I feel like I would accidentally pull off so many hulls by mistake if it was just a flat prompt avaliable

    Alternatively they could make it so non-crew members can't repair your ship

    A non-captained ship that gets sunk doesn't have any planks on the holes while a Captained ship does.

    Now, I don't mind the costs of repairing, but you don't always spawn on an Outpost after a sink, making this system quite unfair, basically forcing a captained ship to first sail to an outpost to repair if they don't want any disadvantage of having planks covering holes or on their masts &c.

    Sure thing but at this point (if as you say this method will prevent spawn camping) isn't easier just to scuttle in the same or any other server?

    And in that case the question is: "Why are you doing HG when you fear getting spawn killed? Is the exp you get worth the aggravation?"

    Make it via a boarding axe as a secondy attack and boards disappear after a while so that all you are doing is reopening a hole that opened within the last 5min.
