FIX ENCOUNTER RNG!

  • I was just under the sea for a few minutes doing a shrine solo in my sloop, then when I surfaced a skelly galleon was waiting for me circling my ship and immediately attacked only when I began retracting my loot from the mermaid. I understand if you want to spawn enemy encounters on a player after a smooth shrine clear - I don't agree with it but I get it - what I don't get is why you would choose to make that enemy encounter a skelly GALLEON vs a solo sloop rather than a skelly sloop or a something like a megladon. If you want to attract casual new players with this cartoony atmosphere maybe don't make the solo players feel like they're playing elden ring with spawning galleons on top of them solo that follow them to the ends of the earth.

I'm a level 70 hunter and pirate legend - they sunk me after cannonballing my ship nonstop as I tried to get away and they just followed. I finally gave up and jumped ship to board them and light their keg, sank them but my ship sank in the process too. This should not be happening.

As I understand it - your developers spawn enemy encounters when the players ship has been sitting for too long - so I suggest you put some sort of 'location check' in your code/script in order to tell when a player is over a shine/treasury or not so that it doesn't count against the idle timer - or just make the encounter a little more fair to the solo sloopers.

UPDATE I JUST COMPLETED A SKELETON FLEET WORLD EVENT THEN THE SERVERS MERGED RIGHT AFTER I SUNK THE LAST SHIP - LEAVING ME NO TREASURE - GREAT GAME GUYS!

Did you do the Shrine of the Coral Tomb, because that on is close to the Smuggler's Route which will spawn both Skalleons and Skloops even to sloops.

  • Shrines have statues to store loot. Your fine if that is all your upset about.

Galleons like sloop skeleton ships roam freely, they attack anyone within there area. They don’t spawn on you so those are different encounters.

Would you prefer having your ship sunk by players waiting on your ship with a keg as you spawn back?? Which is worse. :)

It’s the threat of the sea. I know threat. If nothing happens during your time. That is a boring game.

  • Im sorry but someone has to say it: You are most likely not playing well and making alot of mistakes, if you are sinking to a skelly ship Galleon or not... the game is extremly easy, you are most likely not prioritizing the right things when fighting it or you are just making poor decisions that causing you to sink, its not the Devs fault or the game´s fault that you are sinking in this scenario. The merging out of your loot is just unlucky it does happen from time to time
