Make more content for Safer Seas version. Some people like the game but aren't in this PVP based world.

  • Playing this game is a very stressfull experience if you are and adult and have a job. You don't have much time to play and practice so you always get beaten by people who play all day long. A lot of people like the PVE experience and to farm reputation, commendations and items, but don't like this PVP method that you guys put. It takes hours of effort to try to get something u like just to sink for some crew who have players that are way better than you are. I know thats a PVP based game, and thats why Im asking for you to put more content in Closed Safer Seas. Make us earn reputation there, not only till lvl25. Make us able to farm, get items and do all the other things that Open Seas gives us. We don't want to drop the game, but this lack of options is making us tired of it.

  • @titiotrufas4 unfortunately, you’re barking up the wrong tree here. The more vocal PVP players are essentially going to to tell you either get good at PVP or stay in safer seas. It seems like more and more of the player base is not interested in anything other than attacking any players on open seas or simply trolling like we’re seeing with the recent heist mission.

  • @loneshadow29 Thats sad. As I said, someone who works and have a family to take care doesn't have the time to practice, they try to play just for fun. Those who says "Get good" doesn't have one of those 2 things to think about or neither of them. They make the game their second life and think other people had the obligation to do the same, they can't understand that some people try to play for fun... but the fun is being taken away season by season as Rare don't put any content for PVE

  • @titiotrufas4
Many people (me included) dont want the core gameplay changed in that way, because it could kill the game.
This is a PvPvE game and if you give Safer Seas players the option to get the exact same stuff that you get on high seas, noone would play high seas anymore.

They might not be opposed to the risk of loosing their stuff and like the PvP aspect, but if they for example want to hit level 500 in any faction (exept the pvp factions), then they definitely wont do it on High Seas, if they can do it risk free on Safer Seas. They'll go there after they finished it, but then they are just another lootless boat.
That would not only kill PvP, but also the normal friendly encounters.

Also the last time Rare added something to the PvP part of the game, was in season 8 (2022), all the seasons before and after that have either been PvE or PvPvE focused.
PvE is by far the most frequently updated part of the game and has by far the most content.

I can only suggest what so many others suggested before.
-Stay away from the center of the map
    -Sell frequently
    -Stay alert
-Sail away from ships if you see any
    -Dont sail alone
-Maybe consider sailing in the devils roar

  • @dermasterbob Thanks for the Tips man! I'll try doing those!

You lost me at the first sentence. These post always contain the “I’m and adult and have a job” copium as if to imply that anyone who sinks you in the game surely must be a child with no job.

I’m well into adulthood, have a career, four dogs, a wife, parents who live close by, and hobbies external from my computer.

You’re playing a PvPvE game, if you’re not willing to put in some effort to improve your survivability, don’t blame your age or your employment status. I have a crew of 30 and 40 something’s. Do we play every day? No, mostly on the weekends. Are we top tier pvpers who someone might want to watch stream? No, I’d say we’re good, but somewhere in the low to mid tier good range. We’re more than competent enough to enjoy all the game has to offer, we work hard, and we have lives.

    Stop making excuses :)

  • They just made quickswap a regular game feature, they aren't going to cater to PvE players anymore. I'm not one of those PvP hungry trolls, but you have to expect that some things are too good to be allowed to be done in safer seas, where there is no threats basically at all. You could stack 50 FotD in SS, but why? Who cares at that point?

And there you go. You are going to be amazing in this game with that type of attitude. Try not to get frustrated when you sink, because it happens to EVERYONE (and will again in the future). Try and learn something you could've done differently from each sink. There are some here (won't name names but I'm sure you can clearly see for yourself) who flat-out refuse to TRY. They call PvPers toxic (Rare doesn't tolerate it, nor should you-- record and report them) because they can't seem to defend themselves, and instead, want Rare to create PvE servers to cater to them.

I, and many others, were also new at one point, and got sunk everyday. It takes time and experience to know what you're doing, what to look out for, cannon physics, helming in a naval fight, boarding sounds, etc. This game has one of the steepest learning curves, so hang in there. I give you much kudos for at least putting forth the effort and trying, unlike some others who somehow can't be bothered to practice and gain experience for themselves. Yeah. The entire server should just hang back and let you turn in the (currently) most valuable painting in the game's history, because to contest you would be "toxic".

  • @titiotrufas4 as one with:
    1 kid
Second right around corner to come.
    One small company to manage
    Few other things to juggle.

I will say: get good or work on your ego to enjoy game as it is intended even when loosing loot.

And I dont mean it in dimisive way - key to enjoy games with pvp aspect of it is dealing with it either by leting your ego allow you for sik and losses or bt geting better to be comfortable with pvp - maybe you will not win 10/10 but 5/10 is enough odds to try mount defence.

Knowing you can stand up to pvp is same feeling as knowing you have some savings to proivde family in case of emergancy gives you overall comfort when playing or living.

  • @titiotrufas4

I've been in your shoes, and I know it can be VERY frustrating in the beginning when you are trying hard to earn enough gold for those sweet cosmetics or commendations or whatever you are trying to achieve.

I rarely do PvP....like almost never. I'm not good at it. I'll never be good at it. But even so, after playing Safer Seas and High Seas, I can easily say I prefer High Seas. I only go to Safer Seas if I really want to enjoy the Tall Tales at my leisure. And I'm willing to bet, over time you will prefer High Seas too.

The trick is, you need to get to the point mentally that you really don't care about the gold or grind that much because you know you can get it next time, or the time after that. The loot drops are now at a point where it is almost impossible not to make good money.

I suggest, don't go for Level 5 emissary (unless you need to for commendations). Go to level 3 and turn in your loot. You'll be glad you did. Then you might not care as much what happens next. Perhaps.

For me, surprisingly, I get great pleasure trying to out sail or out smart a chasing ship. I might get zero loot that day but out maneuvering some pirates can be a real blast. And, if they catch me, I take my lumps and move on.

I've also been playing long enough that I have all the ships and cosmetics I've ever wanted. Now THAT takes ALL the pressure off my shoulders, and I now look forward to the unknown - for some chaos.

So, hang tough. Do what you like to do and you'll make your goals, even if some Pirates have other plans for you today. Laugh off those losses. And respect those pesky pirates enough that you keep your eyes on the horizon at all times.

    Hope you find your groove.

    Peace.
