Need more captaincy voyages

    Per Mike Chapman at gamescom captaincy voyages are supposed to "let you select exactly what you want to do" ok... I would like to do devils roar cargo voyages. I would also like to do just gold hoarder vaults & get voyage complete credit meaning these voyages should be exclusively for that quest type and not bundled into other stuff like riddles and Xs etc. I don't see any way to hyper focus my gameplay with captaincy voyages since they involved a lot of RNG with the exception of LoTV because they is a very specific voyage as it is.

    I feel like these voyages need a lot more variety. I havent put down many of them but from what I am seeing for gold hoarders for example its 1 X island, or 1 riddle. or a vault with like 7 other islands to visit. Theres no way to hyper focus your gameplay and complete multiple commendations at once in a timely manner. So basically rather than doing captaincy voyages it seems like we still need to resort to lower level pirates using normal trade company voyages if you want to actually work on voyage completion commendations. Like i saw phuzzybond make a video about commendation completions with captaincy but he was only focused on unlocking the cosmetic parts not the actual over all completion. Which IMO makes for a bad play experience. Like he suggested only doing the portion you want then abandoning the voyage. Which honestly has been my 4 year history in SoT is people canceling out voyages because "not enough captains to kill on that island" or "island is too big" or "too far away". In his video he talks about how with the vaults youre getting vaults opened and the tributes chest. yea but never ever getting voyage complete. Same with ghost ship voyages do the ghost ship part for the ghost skulls commendation and then abandon. yea but theres not only commendation for ghost ship kills, ghost captain skulls, but also just completing ghost ship voyages.

    Just feeling like outside of LoTV these voyages for players looking to go after one specific thing arent very specialized for that kind of play.

    The low level GH voyages work wonders for completions. The low level cargo missions and OOS skeleton bounty missions as well.

    Have been grinding voyage completions and it's going pretty fast.

    No vaults tho, that's true

    Yes for the most part you have to plan a little on what you want to focus on, this is why in the past I would just load up my alt and keep her at the starter levels when I would be working on the commendation for voyage completions as it was easier to do it that way when I was not wanting to try find others to do it.

    The only exception was the merchant runs where we would stack the cages for each animal type then just cancel voyages until we got ones with the animal types we needed to speed it up i.e all chickens and no snakes or pigs when we did not want to deal with handling them if we already had those hand ins done.

    When it came to the Gold Hoarder ones we would cancel if there were multiple maps and only focus on the small islands that were not far out from where we were to help speed it up.

    Another tactic was to have one person or the alt leave the session to load into a temp solo session to get more voyages when not docked at an outpost and the voyage types we wanted to do were not given on the current server session.

    In regards to the current captaincy voyages to me the main benefit is that I don't have to visit all the npc's to pick and choose the voyage types to do for that session i.e I don't always want to go all the way into the athena tavern just to get one or two voyages when I can just stack 10+ of it by buying from the shipwright.

    All that said at this time since I am hosting my own ship this is kinda why for the most part I am just letting the crew pick the emissary and voyage type they want to work on for the session currently once the full crew is loaded in and ready to setup.
