Sea Of Thieves lag when tabbing in

I just started to play the new update and when I get past the first 3 things I need to load in my game starts to lag. I have not had this issue until the update. When I press the windows key my game seem to look fine but when tabbing in my game lags.

If anyone knows what to please replay, thanks

If you mean that the frame rate is low when in game but disappears if you bring up Windows with the windows key, this sounds awful similar to this issue:
