In B4 all the "true pirate legends" of the forums flood this thread to complain about winter precipitation, and make sarcastic posts about wanting something for nothing that aren't nearly as funny as they think they are while bemoaning "instant gratification" and how the precipitation cant put in the "work" these titans of gaming have.
Best way to look at these sorts of commendations is as a lifetime accumulation goal.
Sure, some pirates race to achieve these commendations, but I think the greater player-base would best be served thinking of them as something that will be achieved eventually - If you have a long, successful life as a pirate on these seas.
@algaram it was possible to do this but now with the way ship damage is its more time consuming they shold lower it to 250
@algaram you dont need to do ship battles, roaming skelly ships count too, and then again these are things to be gained over time as with the mileage and all that jazz.
But i guess rare will just “rebalance” all this too maybe even with a “exclusive” cosmetic that is time limited one day but one day later it is changed to have no deadline stopping it from being exclusive
I don’t even want legend cannons, I’d rather put in the work for athena cannons.
Although, if 7 people upvote your post, they might reduce it to 50 sinks.

Legend of the Sea of Thieves: sink 500 skeleton ships as a Pirate Legend.

That’s plenty of evidence indicating the lack of thought or balance behind introducing new commendations.

no one ever wants to do them and by time you get to the cloud the ships despawn, trying to solo them on a sloop is now impossible with the new ship damageI don't think its fair that I have to try to sink 500 of them
I really dislike messing with commendations, but this is actually a good point... Extended ship damage has changed things, and perhaps commendations need to adjust accordingly. : /
Or maybe they just have to make sloops a little tougher? Idunno... Should definitely be looked at though.

The Legendary Hunters Call Commendations are not legendary at all :(
@algaram I don’t focus on this type of commendation. Just sink them when you can and the commendation will come.

i can see what you mean by this im a athena 10 pirate legend and it is annoying but you need to get used to it to cause most of the stuff on there is hard same with learning its not sea of friends its sea of thieves pve servers wont work unless with friends on a private server you own with no benefits at all so there you go just get used to its there for a reason

It's cool to have "unreachable" goals; especially if they upon insanely rare completion give some kind of unique cosmetic that lets you show off said insane goal completion. I don't know if that's the case here, but if not - it should!
