    Ask your self, what is Sea if Thieves? Is it a game. Is it something to watch on your favorite streamers? Or is it the community. The thing is Sea if Thieves is more than any of thoughts things to many people including myself. To people like me, Sea of Thieves is a family.

    After a stressful day I can relax and do whatever o want in this virtual economy. I can role play or slay sharks.

    I don’t mean to brag but I would say I’m one of the more involved people in the game especially on discord.

    What am I upset about. No matter how good I get. No matter how many days I play. 1 year or 50, I’ll never be a legend, simply because I didn’t buy the game in alpha.

    20 years from now I expect to still play Sea of Thieves. I don’t know a solution to bring old cosmetics back but something needs to be done.

    Time limited cosmetics in a game that only has cosmetics is discriminating to new players. Yes there is no advantage but that’s the only motivation.

    Pirate legend means nothing. It’s all about your rare cosmetics that are exclusive. That limited time cosmetics away and pirate legend means your a legend.

    Incorrect, cosmetics the legend title it all means nothing.

    Being a legend is about your ability to manage yourself on the seas. How you treat people and that you enjoy being a pirate.

    Limited cosmetics are limited.
    Bought cosmetics cost money.
    Let them be what they are, you dont need it, you are not entitled to it and it is not what defines you as a gamer or pirate.

    @justincase2004 time limited coametics tell a story, a story of pirates who waded trough the trenches getting the original hungering one to spawn, people that where here in the aloha’s, beta’s etc.

    Pirates that defeated the skeletons commandeering the outposts traumatising all sales reps on them, pirates that sat on thrones and destroyed statues for nothing else but the glory, pirates that ventured first in the inhospitable region known as the devils roar when the volcanoes where at their peak activity and aim etc etc etc.

    Those limited time cosmetics etch those players in the lore of sea of thieves, a piece of the past.

    If you dont get it, old time limited cosmetics will never come back in their old form, they will however come back as recolors (fearless bone crusher as an example)

    You've been told multiple times by a PLETHORA of people that time limited cosmetics aren't coming back. Especially not for someone who comes on the forums once a month, to make posts about the same topic that are almost always a duplicate of the last one.
    I wanna say this one is different, because you tried to hide it by pandering for the first half of this post, but nope. You've done that before too.
    "Let's make a difference together" is a pretty manipulative title for what is basically a begging thread. Like you're implying that giving someone the sword skin that they missed out on will end all hate speech in the game or some nonsense. If you're gonna grovel for skins, I sadly can't stop you, but don't try to tug at people's heartstrings so that they don't use their head and realize "Wait, this is the same thing he asked for two months ago."
    I missed out on most of the Wailing Barnacle ship cosmetics (I only bought the cannons) when I first started playing. Am I sad I didn't think to buy the rest? Duh. Do you see me begging for them?
    No. Because I understand that I didn't collect them in the time they were available, and they're now gone. More limited cosmetics will come and there's no reason in dwelling on them, because there's most likely gonna be a reskin coming that looks just as good anyway.

    Just let it go. PLEASE.
    I'm sorry if that all comes off as super aggressive, but after seeing post after post from you saying the same thing a hundred different ways, I've finally lost my patience for this.

    @justincase2004 not even a month ago you where whining that sot was dead and now you do want the old cosmetics.

    Now you declare to be one of the most active in the community but this forum isnt one of those avenues apparently because this you only visit once or twice a month or so.

    I have never seen you on the official sot discord.

    Does this all matter ? No it doesnt, does this make you or me more entitled to actually receiving something ? Nope it sure as hell doesnt.

    I am venturing a guess here that it is an age thing but i could be mistaking (guessing you are 15 from your gamertag)

    If you havent been there you dont deserve it, im a collector myself but i wont ruin something from others just because i really want it.
    Im sorry you havent been there and those who were dealt with stale waters and lack of content and back then it was hard to get to PL, today its just fast and easy most of the PL that i know from after the first year have never done a merchant alliance quest because they dont need to there are so many easy and quick ways.

    @HeavyReaper102 I agree with you 100% i just cant stand those posts.

    I suppose people should be able to get the day one eyepatch too, even if they weren't here day one...

    I lost mine when I created a new pirate, but fair is fair. If you weren't there, you shouldn't have it. It's a symbol of the events you took part in.

    I think they could re-release some time limited cosmetics, but only for a limited time. So you know they would still be rare or something. I think they should re-release items from ashen set, wailing set, mercenary set, because they release parts of the set seperetly, which is annoying to people that want full complete sets(same color).

    For example the ashen set (I have it btw, but would not mind other players getting it), the ship sails, figurehead and hull, aswell as the guns were released before the anniversary update. And now very recently they also released canons, capstan, etc.
    I think people deserve to atleast get some chance to complete their set. But it should still stay time limited and only be re-released for a month and be locked behind a commendation.
    The same should be done with the wailing barnacle set

    However, I don't think they should re-release items that came with the preorder bundle, hungering deep items, limited time controller outfit and guns aswell as stuff like the 1st day eyepatch and that eye of reach that I forgot the name of, because they are separate things that dont really belong to any set.

    I hate how other people think others should not get the cosmetics, just because of stories they can tell or just don't want people to have "rare" items.

    At the end of the day if they release some of these cosmetics for a month and lock them behind different commendation, people will have different stories of how they got them. And plus they would still be "rare".

    Recolors are a completely different thing and dont really match to the "original " ones

    Thats only my opinion.

    @unclebob1023 hahaha easy its like giving away the early alpha sails to everyone because "it wont change anything" the first year of Sea of Thieves was rough and we helped them to shape the game in a way and got rewarded for being there so giving it away to everyone devalue our efforts.

    @faceyourdemon but I am not talking about the alpha sails or any other items that were given out to founders, insiders etc.

    I am talking about the stuff that was released on big DLC updates(ashen ship set - Forsaken shores dlc; wailing barnacle ship - shrouded spoils, which wasn't even locked behind specific comendations, exept ashen ship set)

    Its just a dlc and I don't see the reason of not giving others the chance to fully experiece those dlc (getting their specific cosmetics), however I understand making the "mothly items" limited.

    Not trying to start an argument
    Just saying my opinion on what should and should not be time limited

    Btw you keep saying "just giving away". I never said that they should just give the items away, instead lock them behind achievements and keep them time limited and just release them for a month.

    To me, the legends are people who leave a chest next to the gold hoaders for the next pirate. Those who if raiding, don’t spawn camp when they have taken all the loot. To me, the pirate legend title means you’ve played voyages a lot. To be a real legend to me, it’s not just about being kind or being a good role player, but having fun and helping others have fun too. Tbh, I’m indifferent to most people’s titles, unless you shove it in my face, then we have a problem.

    @unclebob1023 The alpha sails was an exemple, we are talking about the limited time cosmetics and i understand you of course it can be annoying not be to able to get something because you werent there but like any other item in the world when its limited by the amount or the time it could have been achieved it holds value some would find less value in it and some find it to hold more.
    By saying giving away i mean either just collecting it or getting it from commendation it would still be possible to attain something that you shouldnt have.
    I would kill the Pirate Lord just for the Midnight Blunderbass that i missed but i deal with it..... somehow.... not really.
    And yeah its not an argument just fans taking each other's eyes out for cosmetics 😉

    I just don’t think ,if they ever rerelease the past items for a short period of time and make them hard to get in those few days, that the item value is going to decrease that much.

    It would just be a chance for the dedicated players to get some past cosmetics. Since most of the people don’t even try to do commendations.

    But yeah having midnight blunderbuss would be dope😀

    @unclebob1023 Their compromise which i think was fair is a reskin to those items and they might even look cooler then the original.
    Many of the new once looks better then older versions,Stonewall soverign is way cooler then the golden one and the new parrot set, i just think that you will get more and more items cosmetics and they would hold value too.

    I was there at day 1, played a couple of weeks before all my friends dropped the game. But I always had that urge to come back to it someday. And now when I have, playing everyday for the last couple of months, it pains me the fact that I have missed out on so many cool cosmeticss, like the obsidian stuff, cool ship sets etc. So I'm a very active, dedicated player these days but don't have a single unique skin in a cosmetic driven game.

    So I understand where you coming from.

    There are pirate legends and then there are true pirate legends.

    Ive seen a true legend and he only had the game for 1 week.
    Cleared the entire deck of a galleon by himself and lived to tell the tale.

    Cosmetics dont mean anything and there will be more time limited in the future too.

    @faceyourdemon Why care so much the value of these items, unless you are planning to sell your account.
    Most of the people just want these sets either to rock a full set with clothes, ship hull, gear etc. or just because it looks cool.

    It just looks like people just care more about how much their account is worth then actually using these sets.

    literally all I keep seing is "value, value, value"

    Recolors look ugly af (example bonecrusher clothes).

    @unclebob1023 value doesnt necessarily mean monetary. It could be symbolic as well. The limited items are a way to demonstrate your commitment to the game and community. If these items could simply be purchased, they become worthless.

    @unclebob1023 a lot of them were locked behind commendations. Some of them were a reward for playing during a time when the game was still becoming what it is today.

    Also, you missed the point of my response entirely. You said that people are concerned about value as if they intend to sell their accounts. I said that value doesn't only include money.
