Skeleton Boats

    I think that there should be more things on the sea then just players. While in the middle of a PvP battle out of no where a crew of skeletons interrupts. It also adds more PvE to the game.

    @plasmanightsky Agreed they could even have a whole faction for this or make it another quest type with the order of souls.

    How easy would it be to cheese an AI controlled ship into a sandbar? I'm guessing pretty easy.
    Rare wants you to know that when you see a sail on the horizon, those are players. Act accordingly.

    AI ships are like separate servers and safe zones. Not going to happen anytime soon, no matter how many times you bump this thread.

    A ghost ship could be more of an event like the kraken. Ghosts could board the ship if you get too close. Cannons may do no damage. You have to board the ghost ship to kill the captain for it to go away. You have to use your lantern for them to be affected by weapons.

    I HAVE HEARD RUMORS OF SKELETON CREWS. BUT AGAIN THE KEY WORD IS RUMORS.
    BUT YEA I AGREE THAT WOULD BE WICKED. BUT OF COURSE YOULL HAVE THE PEOPLE THAT WILL BE HIGHLY AGAINST IT JUST BECAUSE IT MAKES THE GAME THAT MORE CHALLENGING

    As for the OP: I still don't expect AI-controlled ships in the game, as it was promoted that every sail on the horizon means there are real players.
    So skeleton crews will most likely still be on islands and forts only.

    It was part of the marketing, Pirates is too common of a name.
    Pyrates is a name that nobody has.

    I want to thank those who upvoted my post n.n I'd really like to see more PvE in this game I try to stay away from other players. I don't want trouble I just want to sail the sea and kill some skeletons lol.

    What if the Ferry of the Damned surfaced on the full moon and dead players could crew it to kill other pirates to take their place. This event is signaled at sunset by a large green flash and some eerie music.
