The last 2 times I have attempted to start a session in SoT in the past couple of days, I find myself stuck in the menu screen where it says "Searching the Seas" for much longer - usually, I only see it for a few seconds, but lately, it lasts for 5+ minutes. My connection is good and I'm on a Series X, so I don't believe it to be anything on my end.
Is this happening to anyone else, or do you know why it might be happening?
I've had it a couple times since the last update, but I would describe it as intermittent - most times it gets through really quickly, but a couple times I've had some long holds on "Searching the Seas" which I haven't had historically.
I have some blazing fast internet as I live in a major city with an ISP that provides high speeds and I need it for my work, and have been seeing the issue when playing on my Series X (so far have not had it happen on my PC, but with it being intermittent I wouldn't immediately rule that out). Located on the East Coast of the US.
Thankfully, at least on my end, it has been less common overall compared to quick loads, but it does indeed happen.
