With the new captaincy update we got the ability to save our ship cosmetics. We have to pay gold to save the cosmetics.
Can we have the same option for clothing and equipment?
Each time we load into a game, depending on what ship we choose, it would automatically change our clothing and equipment to match our ships. This would be helpful for holiday themed cosmetics or for people who have tucking outfits.
Any thoughts or suggestions?

We haven't even been able to get the saved ship cosmetics to actually save properly yet - lets fix that 1st before we try to pile on even more bugs.
Also, would this force pirates to dress up to match the ship by their captain's orders? What if you don't have a full set? Or don't want to wear the uniform that your captain commands? How would/should that work?
The bugs can’t be helped. It happens with a new update.
As for the clothing, it would be limited to the captain. If I’m understanding you properly, you are asking for a crew uniform. If Rare did that, we could have a crew costume where the captain chooses a set of his own cosmetics specifically for his crew and the rest of the crew can equip the cosmetics as a costume from their clothing chests.
If you equip the crew costume owned from another pirate, it reverts back to the default clothing you have on

Maybe they do this to discourage changing your saved cosmetics everytime you play. The cost of "remembering" is also why i think we never got pirate outfit saves.

It absolutely can, and should, be helped. Quality control and assurance is a thing.

This is already a thing with a few costume sets.

Why? What's wrong with being similar to 1 another? I thought that was kind of the point!
My crew costume idea would be the captain being able to create a custom costume from their own clothing that they own. It would appear in their costume tab as a crew uniform.
As for all the captain and crew costume that are available, if your crew member has a captain costume set you can equip one of the crew costume the set has. However, once you leave the game and start a new season you loose the costume unless you bought it
