1:1 ratio ADS/HipFire Sensitivity

  • Hello gentle Sot community

Is there a way to have the HipFire and ADS sensitivity the same with the 1:1 ratio?

Right now i set to max (10.0) all the ADS weapons sens,
but still they are 30%/50% lower compare to the normal (hipfire) sensitivity.

This is the first fps i play with that is not let me play with the 1:1 ratio.

    Some tech info:
    2.0 Sens in game
    10.0 ADS for all weapons
    800 DPI
    1920 x 1080 Res

I will appreciate any kind of help,
Sorry if my English is not the best,
    Thank you all,
    Peace.

  • @zatmal I believe ADS is just "x%" slower than what your settings are. That's why most players quick scope when firing.

  • @kommodoreyenser This mean is not possible to have the 1:1 ratio like others fps?

    Thank for your answer

Yeah, that is another issue, this isn't an FPS but an online multiplayer adventure game. FPS are games like Tarkov, COD, Battlefield, etc. This game is a bit outside that mold. That is probably why devs didn't take time to make settings related to combat so granular.

for what i understand on Sot the player point of view is first person,
we look through the eye of the character we are playing,
and you have guns that can be use to shoot others,
that make this game an FPS by definition.
Of course Sot like you said is more then that with adventure, story and plus more elements.

Even if it is a complete different type of game compare to the games you mention can still be called FPS,
but this is only my opinion and not the point of this post.

In conclusion i think a simple solution would be a flag option to disable all the ADS sensitivity,
this way you get a standard 1:1 ratio by using only one sens for everything, you are aiming or not.
nothing too granular to implement imo.

Or make the actual max ADS setting bar, wich is 10.0, work like match the general sensitivity setting.

But I understand there is no hope for that to append, after all there years the games release and nothing on that regard.
    Thank for your answer.

I get your opinion on the matter. Many do hold this POV too, as is evident by the threads of sniper/pistol users who refuse to try other loadouts and get salty after a lucky blunder or sword takedown. However, in the first sentence of the game description "Sea of Thieves is a first-person action-adventure game developed by Rare and published by Microsoft Studios." Also, Action-Adventure is the official genre of the game, despite it having some elements of FPS as you said, the majority is far removed from those game types.

Glad I could help on the settings front.

  • I've been wondering the same for a long time.
Setting the ADS sensitivity to 1 should be 1% multiplier, but currently it's probably like 0.75%.
The option should already be there.

This is not necessarily something for the forums, but rather for other avenues of feedback, as there are many people trying to defend the status quo. Some other possible changes to ranged weapons might also cause a stir, but in general it's not worth discussing at length, since you usually have an alternative way to approach something.
