I am happy that it is this guy instead of anyone who is using tools not allowed, but I confess that I will have more admiration for other legends more "endeavored".
First Pirate Legend boosting.
Being a Pirate Legend is not having this title, it is how you Sail the seas.
To me being a Pirate legend is never having my crews ship sink to another opposing crew, Taking down a Galleon 1vs4, you are your own pirate legend and this title wont say otherwise.
but... in a game of cosmetics it might...
@killjoyplays I have been watching him as well and do not feel like he deserves any kind if recognition for this at all. He is using resources most other players have no chance match. witch makes this cheating??
If you had anything cool saves up for the 1st pirate legend rare, Please dont give this guy the credits. Save it for the 1st legit legend.

Why did you quote me? I didn't say that they should or that he is breaking a rule. All I am saying is that they could stop him If they had a problem with what he is doing.
@personalc0ffee So when you're part of a crew do you do the lowest ranked players missions or the highest ranked players missions?

@killjoyplays First of all, people think he asked for help and wanted to boost. He didn't. The members of his community wanted to help him out and also see what Pirate Legend offered as do a lot of us. I'm sorry you're upset but honestly, it's a game and being invited by friends that are turning in loot doesn't break any rules.
@wicked-sarah He did ask for help, vut at this point he does not have to anymore. Because hes is getting popular and people like to have played with famous people.
This is cheating plane and simple.

The whole idea of the game is that nobody has an advantage over anybody else. He is using his popularity as an advantage. To me, it sort of diminishes the accomplishment.
At the same time, he earned his followers, they weren't given to him. Rare encourages social interaction and they are free to do what they want with their treasure.
I'm conflicted, but not because I want to see what Pirate Legend has in store.
@xcalypt0x I personally can't wait to see Rare get absolutely slaughtered by game reviews after they find out what is behind the "legendary" wall. This game had so much potential, but offers so little for a AAA 60$ game.
@xcalypt0x So, since the whole no advantage idea is now out the window, the devs can start adding more functional stuff to the game. Even if you had a slightly stronger sword, this guy would still beat you to pirate legend by 3+ months lol.

I think this sums it up pretty well. Not breaking rules per say, but killing the experience.
@xcalypt0x Honestly it shouldn't diminish anything for you. If you earn it a different way, a harder way, that should make you feel all the more proud. Wasting so much effort and hate on a community coming together to achieve something just seems so negative. People should play the game they want to. If he's doing something wrong and Rare doesn't like it, they'll do something about it. Its not for anyone else to decide.

@idshadow47 until they reward you rep for cashing in instead of doing the quest, there will always be a way of doing that, i think.
I am conflicted on this one. Certainly doesnt feel like HE accomplished his pirate legend status, yet ppl help voluntarily,.. so why not, would accept these kinda gifts too, like why not. But is he a real Pirate Legend of just a streamer who got a cool following that made it happen?!

Unintended sure, but not really an exploit. They're still paying for the cages.
There are many inventions and societal norms today that came about from unintentional use.Cheese and Yoghurt for example. Surstromming. T-Shirt cannons.
