We Need More Lore

    I really wish that we would be given more fleshed out lore every season. Everyone would've been way more invested in the last Smuggler's arc if we were given more information in a more meaningful way with like a Tall Tale lite sort of voyage. Every season the lore is implied, but never truly delved into, and in a pirate game where myths and hidden truths are a main feature of every trading company and character, it would make every small or large season update way more exciting.

    It would also be a good jumping off point for any new or returning players, as they could do that (or previous) season's lore based tall tale as an on demand voyage or something, and then know what exactly has been going on in the game's story. As it is, the season's comms just become another section in the adventures at sea tab and just moved past to next season.

    Well, you see, it all really began when John A.C. went to community college.

    He drifted around for awhile from major to major. Eventually, in his introduction to the criminal justice system course, he received an invitation to Rare's Anti-Cheat Academy and promptly transferred. After becoming an accredited inspector he took to the servers to enforce the law, brining dirty, rotten cheaters to justice.

    While most inspectors wouldn't take the time to search every nook and cranny on ship incidental to an inspection, John Anti-Cheat was strictly by the books. Additionally, his prodigious grapple gun boarding and nuanced chit-chat, able to casually elicit confessions from dirty rotten cheaters, sets him apart from other law-enforcement personnel. It has even earned him celebrity status.

    Besides this, it's interesting to note John cares little for silly little things such as search warrants and 4th amendment rights. His primary focus isn't individual rights or sparing the rod, but giving dirty, rotten cheaters what they deserve, for God and country. If that means violating the constitution by boarding every ship without probable cause or a search warrant, so bet it!

    Alas, not all that glitters is gold...the weight of stardom and palpable workload of carrying the entire criminal justice system on his back has taken a toll. These days, John Anti-Cheat is on hiatus, promising to return after he has recuperated from the terrors of facing cheaters with god-like powers.
