After so many years I think it's time to update HUD and accessibility

  • I have been playing this game for many years now, but by now I know that the hit marker system is becoming obsolete, especially even for those with physical problems, now I'll explain why:
    problem n1: naval combat is very satisfying, but a hit marker is missing on the hull of the ship, the music is not enough. By now in other games the hit markers give more information, such as damage count, headshot, kill and damage to shields or armor, not here. is it possible to have some more information when a ship or a player is hit? I put an image below with my idea.

    step 2: can you put a damage count that appears above the affected opponent? Since there are hit reg problems at least this way maybe you can understand how much damage we have done to the opponents.

    Point 3: greater separation of the keys on the controller, (at least the reload of the cannons) I have problems using the Y to reload the cannons, I would like to use another key like LT, I don't care about the micro zoom. I can't do this because if I change the cannon reload key then the weapon change key also changes. Please at least put an appropriate entry for recharging, on pc why not here?
    I know there is a pressure reduction option but I still find it awkward to use Y to reload.

    These are my ideas, let me know what you think thanks.

    The thing is, the reason the hitmarker is off on clients is because the hitmarker is calculated client side, while the actual damage done or not is calculated server side. There would be a major disconnect between hitmarker and damage output done. Like quite a few milliseconds in between them.

    The thing is sots damage system is quite easy, pistol 50% dmg, blunder 10% per pellet and sniper 70%. If they can get hit registration more reliable (something they are still working on) then that would say it all.

    Also for me stuff like that would just create more and more annoying stuff on screen, the minimal hud is something i quite love in the game

    More keybinding options is something i will always endorse, it is annoying how disjointed some button uses are in this game, where some completely unrelated tasks have the same keybind where something like talk to an NPC is (on pc) F in one place and R in another.

    Or stuff like the replace trinket and sit are the same keybinds as open barrel and pick up treasure…..

    These are my ideas, let me know what you think thanks.
