Tea & Spices

  • Spices & Tea Concept

Spices and teas could be harvestable from island foraging.

They could then be used in cooking to provide various effects such as health, run speed boost, damage boost ect.

If not used, they could be packaged into crates and sold to the Merchant Alliance at 50 units per crate. The boxes are already in-game assets (Crate of Rare Tea / Exquisite Spices).

Side concept: Allow players to build their own crates to package materials in for every commodity and sell them as per the existing Merchant Alliance trade rate system. 15 wood per box. Mind you this would require a workshop to be set up somewhere, not the easiest thing. Especially on the ship where it probably should be. (Captaincy only purchasable ship upgrade? Idk)

Seasoned meats, or boiled teas. Add teapot to stove.

Teacup or mug cosmetics that could share a slot with the existing beer mug, much like how cannonballs swap when hitting 4. (Stein/Mug/Teacup - Teacups for the Aristocrats) snap

Cosmetics & titles plus Hunter's Call reputation for selling seasoned meats or brewed teas.

Pirate Emporium Tea Clipper ship sets? (Cutty Sark & Thermopylae)

    Minecraft of Thieves?

  • Well I like sugar and I like tea but I don't really like the idea of farming something that valuable.

    Crates already serve that purpose.

  • No, nothing should give bonuses to anything that affects PvP.
That just leads to a nightmare of balancing, and people whining 'Speed Tea is OP!' and 'Power Tea is broken! NERF NOW!'

  • I make indecent references to the cargo.

    Silks: Lingerie...
Okay so that's the only innocent one. Y'all know what I call Sugar and Tea 😈

I don't have illegal goods nicknames for everything. Just the regular stuff.

Also, 2nd Sea of Minecraft sentiment. 👎 idea.

Was good idea until you wanted to add Effects.

So pretty much what we already do, but we have to make the stuff now.

I need some thyme to reflect on the spiciness of this post

  • I don't want spiked tea that gives speed, damage and defense.
I want a nice cup of calming tea that does nothing but make me feel a little better about life, and might make me a little sleepy too.

a nice chamomile tea with a lavender scented candle to kick the feet up and pull the hat down to

Oh my tea does that... lol.

  • Ok then, same post without effects.

Counterpoint, if they're whining about speed boost tea, maybe brew some yourself. Nobody whines about cooked meats giving you extra health...

  • @sikpanzer

Meat doesn't give you more health, just a regeneration bar. I can still kill you in the same amount of damage even if you're full.

What I don't want to do is go looking for a bunch of ingredients. I've got tons of games to do that in.

I think the key is to embrace the roleplay and immersion part of it without making it a new advantage

I think the way to approach that is to keep it to regen and create a new system of profit so people can immerse and profit

and then don't kill the entire system and punish organic players just because alliance servers cheese it along with everything else they already cheese.

When I think of tea, I think of a nice, calming drink you can sip on, before bed, not “GOTTA GO FAST!!! HaHAhAha!”
Now coffee on the other hand….

You're not wrong. Maybe we throw some beans in the mix.

Thank you for understanding the idea. /salute
