So, my wife and I found that if we went ro Mermaids Hideaway we could fish for pondies easily catch five each with barely a struggle. However, with the new storage crates, we have found that we can shed even more time off (without having to run back and forth from the ship).

I can't stress enough that this way of getting gold fast isn't for everyone and that the more crewmmates you have, the faster you will get the gold.

Aye... the new Storage Crate is well.... darn "OP" to say the least.
12 slots.... you can empty outposts in no time, with tons of space to spare.
Gathered over an 8 hour period 6 of these Crates yesterday.
Well if it's in game.... better make the most of it... I guess :)
Even if it is absurdly "handy". Think it might need a bit of an adjustment.

The storage crates can hold quite a lot of fish. Four people fishing at the same time, you can have twenty pondies within five minutes. I haven't stated that it was the fastest way, but for those who are just looking for a quiet way to get gold without the constant threat of other players, it can be considered a good way. Especially with a couple of Seaposts nearby.
