Reaper chest and my PVP Queen

  • When I play SOT with my wife, we focus on PVE, she can usually handle herself against a common foe but in most cases, she dies to her inexperience, ship battles though she's a beast.

Yesterday we headed off to do our last shores of gold to get our golden curse. On our way we pick up a reaper’s chest and head to morrow’s peak. As we get near, we see a default sloop in white sails near us, then turn SE and fired a couple of shots. I couldn’t tell if it was cannon or player shots, I didn’t see anyone come out of the cannons and I didn’t hear that distinct sound. I thought maybe it what was what most new players do, fire a couple of wild shots and run away.
When we get to the dock, I told my wife to turn the ship around to get ready to leave. Normally I would have her escort me. As I come up to the inn, I don’t see anyone but then I strafe to the left to check for a keg then I see white names and I see 2 pirates holding a BB.

I quickly turn around and started heading back to the ship telling my wife we had INC. They fired twice, one shot took me to half health and as I jump in the water a second shot took me to a 1/4. I drop the chest and ate some shark meat. As I did my wife sword lunged into the water. I grab the chest and head up the ladder. As I do, I hear the sound of a pirate dying, I assumed it was my wife buying me time and my next actions was to drop sails, get out, and recover.

But I never made it that far because she shouts next to me “I got them! I got them!” Wait…What? I turn around and see was the loan victor in the battle with 2 pirates in the water no less. I was so proud of her; she saved the day! I turn around we and turn in, start the Tall Tails.

Unfortunately, we find out our Shores of gold we completed yesterday some reason did not count so we ended up having to do it twice that night, but we got it done!

  • Congratulations to both of you, best regards to your PVP Queen, she must have felt great!

(To complete the look, I suggest choosing golden hair, too.)
