<![CDATA[Dynamic emotes]]>

I like using the emotes to communicate with other pirates, hide by using them and make some nice screenshots. But I think there should be more of them. What I want to suggest is putting some extra based on what you are holding in your hands just like the quick tekst communication.

Some examples:
If you hold a chest you can hold it above your head as an trophy, sit on it, pose with one foot on it and more.
If you hold your sword you can pose with it, point with it, do a swordflourish and more.

This would give more communication possibilities and much more poses for some nice screenshots.

Edit: I do know they confirmed extra emotes with microtransactions in the future and will likely pay for them since I care enough about this game to spend some extra money on it.
But these are ordinary emotes and what I am suggesting is dynamically based on what you are holding in your hand.

And it's confirmed that the new emotes are still ordinary emotes. A dynamic system based on what you are holding is still very welcome, even if it only has 1 or 2 emotes per item.

Not a new idea by any stretch of the imagination, but still a universally supported 1 - makes me wonder why we're just now getting around to it with the emporium.

@Musical-Memoirs Very good idea, that could only be awesome! Emotes with your sword, your gun, emotes while in the water, etc The possibilities are endless!

Huh- I don't recall seeing this suggested here before. I like it!

Here's my thoughts on it:

As you said, Rare has already set up a system to change the chat options depending on the item you're currently holding, so it shouldn't be too hard to adapt that for emotes.

Rare has already created a wide range of emotes that we don't see in the game- think about all those poses your pirate takes as you're selecting ship/crew sizes.

But most importantly, I'll finally be able to do the Tuscan Raider yell using my shovel. Get on it Rare!

@musical-memoirs I believe they will be putting more emotes into the game via the Pirate Emporium premium store. There are some that were in the Alpha build that are absent (flourish bow). I hope they do singles and packs like Monster Hunter World, with packs being discounted.

We will undoubtedly be seeing more soon. I am totally with you on this! Emotes are so fun to use and enjoy for photos AND communication! We need many more!
