    The in-game chat was unlocked a couple updates aho I think. But mabe you need to have Keyboard and Mouse to use it.

    Ahoy maties!

    Text chat on Xbox is already a part of the game, you need a keyboard or Chatpad connected to be able to activate it and then just hit the T key to start typing.

    I use a chatpad on my controller.
    Cost me about £15 from Game.Uk

    The extra weight of it will take some getting used to..
    But it does the job perfectly well.
