Ahoy Mates!
Collectors Chests are perhaps one of the best Additions in the Anniversary Update!
(Not just because of the Memes either)
There a small addition with a big impact!
But you didn't come this way just to hear me rave about how cool Collector's Chests are.
So I've got 3 ideas for using Collector's Chests in new and interesting ways!
#1: Riddle Quests
I think everyone can admit that Gold Hoarder Riddle quests just aren't worth the effort when compared to how profitable X marks the spot quests are.
So my idea is to make Riddle quests give you Collect's Chest!
As for what would be in it, well that's up to Rare... But, it could range from Trinkets to Mermaid Gems to Skulls!
I'm sure if implemented, this idea would give players the incentive to go after Riddle quests again!
#2: Mercenary Voyages
All Mercenary Voyages usually do is give you a few Captain's Chests. to dig up.
Which is kind of a lame reward if ya ask me. 😕
So why not make Collector's Chests at the end?
Just imagine the possibilities, you could make themed Mercenary Voyages off what's in the Collector's Chests!
For example:
Mercenary Voyage of the Mermaid's Fortune, a mercenary voyage that gives you Collector's Chests at the end full of Mermaid Jems!
Or Mercenary Voyage of the Bounty Hunter's Stash, a mercenary voyage that gives you Collector's Chests full of Bounty Skulls, ranging from Foul to Stronghold Skulls!
Like I said the possibilities are quite endless!
Not to mention you could use em in future Reaper's Runs as well!
#3: Skeleton Fort Strongholds
It's my belief that Skeleton Forts could use a Collector's Chest in the Vault.
It could come in handy for moving the smaller Stronghold loot back to the ship!
Anyways mates, those are my ideas for using Collector's Chests in new and interesting ways!
