There is no access to the game folder on PC...not without doing some pretty shady things to get in there. The game is protected like an app.

What you should do is hit START and type WSRESET and then hit ENTER

That will reset the Windows store, deleting it's cache and usually is enough to allow you to patch installed software.

What error are you getting? The Windows store is usually a pretty easy download.

Maybe try deleting the entire folder the game is installing in and retrying the download
