I gave a key to my friend but Sea of Thieves is not getting installed on their PC.

Under order history for them it says:
"Sea of Thieves Friends Play Free
USD$0.00
Completed
Install"

Upon clicking "Install" it just says:
"Sea of Thieves Friends Play Free
XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX Copy"

Where XXXXX is the exact code I gave to my friend.
Also it is weird that it says $0.00 and not £0.00.

Anyone else got that issue?

@f0ng0re The download today is for a reduction in the overall size, roughly half if you're on PC, announced a while ago now and everyone has had to do this.

@f0ng0re Yeah, it seems that we are not alone with this issue. I checked the Twitter account and see other people. Maybe Rare will give us one day more after they fixed the issue. Maybe... Otherwise, some people have keys and they don't. I can live with 6 days for friends as well...

Been over a couple of hours now & still have not received any confirmation email for the insiders program.

Probably going to be over 24 hours before I can play with any friends anyways now. Game is forcing me to re-downloading a total of 27.96Gigs. So rip to "7 days" of playing with them. Because once Im able to give them a code, they will have to wait & download the the game too.

Nothing to worry about at all... as long as the code is unredeemed when you try to redeem it you are good to go!

I got the wrong email for verification (I missed a letter in my email).

Now I changed it and send a new one, but finnaly I didn't get one for about 1 hour checking it over and over again. I know that, the verfication mails can take a long time today, but does that still work? Or did I killed the free codes by sending it maybe to the wrong not verified email?

I dont hope so ^^

It does seem like the website is being pushed to the max today... just checking on the status of the emails!

It's also worth trying the following to see if you can kick it into action...

1. Head to www.seaofthieves.com/account
2. Change your contact email to something else
3. Change it back once more to your preferred email
4. Request a new verification email

Can't sign up for it, because their system hasn't sent me a confirmation email for the insiders program.

Also, Windows Central is stating the following but I don't know where they got this information:

@musicmee Unless there is something linked to each one when redeemed you are not wasting them. I already had one claimed from the twitter post so far lol.

The part I am struggling with is finding three people that HAVEN'T already played the game!

... I don't want to waste three good codes!

@hammy-hamstar maybe they need to add bigger bouts so 4 can get on.

Good idea but pointless as you can only get three on a boat and can't choose to join the same server.

yah all my friends got fed up with the game when the inventory 'improvements' patch arrived.they said why do u play a game that is so aggravating and has infuriating bugs in every patch.

sometimes I wonder why I still play when the infinite loading screen and cannon reload bug still exists. and doesn't seem to ever be fixed not matter how many times Ive reported over the year it's been out.

@karloss00 Yes the voyage and event as a whole is separate from the codes, the codes are just a bonus to give to people a chance to try the game whilst the event is live.

@musicmee Am I right to assume that the mercenary voyage and bilge rat adventure is separate from the codes? Because all my friends bought into the game at launch so the codes are pretty much useless.
