Been playing Sea of Thieves since the weekend. Bought it the Friday and after experiencing some Windows Store issues, I finally had the game installed and playable come Saturday afternoon.

I initially intended to play this game solo. I had friends where I work that had played the game but I wasn't aware if they were actively playing it. I begun catching videos on YouTube and even live streams of the game. At first the game didn't look like something I wanted to play, but was very entertaining to watch.

Then something clicked in me one day last week - maybe it was the 50% off ha. But I just had to have it. I've always been a huge fan of anything pirate, and so this game served to scratch an itch that really I'd forgotten I even had.

I posted on the subreddit seeking advice from the current players as to whether or not the game was viable for a player that intended to experience the game solo, and I was overwhelmed by so many friendly and overall pretty helpful responses to my question. The fact that the answer to this question appeared to be a resounding yes also helped sway my decision.

So I picked it up, begun exploring the game and experiencing the wonderfully crafted world. Little by little my jaw would drop even further, and I would be blown away time after time by how good the game is and how much fun I was having.

Queue MrGoldyFace. We work together, we have done for around 6 months now I think, and we've gotten on well since the start. I knew he played Sea of Thieves at one point but I think he was looking for a reason to start playing again. Long story short, we mic'd up, crew'd up, and have been playing every night since. I am already working on a compilation video of so many great moments we've had in just a few nights.

I just want to extend my thanks to this community for being one of the best I've seen for a videogame in a very long time. I'm having great fun on the Sea of Thieves!

See you around o7
