How does cargo plants works ?

  • Hello peeps

I've only done two cargo run voyages in the game.

And I don't understand how you can interact with plants.

I drop water on it, and nothing happends (not even a short animation)
I let the plants in the water in my ships hold and it still get brown.

And once your plant is brown, water has no more effects on it !

Can you explain me how to take care of plants without having to be a gardener ?

  • The key to success is having enough water in your ship to soak them properly. The crates actually show how much water you need.

The plant crate has a blue-green portion on its edges. This indicates how high the water level in your ship must be to keep the plants adequately watered. If I recall correctly, that’s about up to the 2nd step in a sloop.

  • It does take a lot more water than you'd initially think, usually close to the lip of the crate. On a brigantine leave them near the middle, the lowest part of the hold.

  • @rakan-le-rouge The fern is the first plant to die. If you watch it when you throw water at it you can tell if you actually hit it or not (it turns healthy again). It can be brown and still saved but, if the name changes then it's too late.

  • Okay

Thanks all for your advices !

I will never let a plant die now ^^

  • @rakan-le-rouge

3 buckets onto a sloop is enough to wet it's whitsle
