To the deceived crew of the sloop at the 'new' fort raid, 29.11.2018

  • Yesterday we were at one of the new forts for a robbery with our sloop. Interestingly, right next to the fort, a skeleton gallon made its rounds, but left us untouched. Fine, we understood this as service of security. Shortly before the end of our raid, another sloop came and we formed an alliance. Unfortunately, their team preferred not to communicate with us at all, neither by text, nor by speach. Therefore, in an unnoticed moment, I sunk their ship, because I had to prevent the crew, who were unwilling to communicate, from playing a trick on us. I ask for understanding, trust is naïve, precaution is better, the sea is full of bad journeymen!
After we won the key, they immediately appropriated it and began to secure and hide the greatest treasures from us - unfortunately, they now had to find out about the loss of their ship. Necessarily they had to load our ship, which kept us in view. When I returned with a chest to our ship, I noticed that the loyal Allies tried to drive our ship against the cliffs and sink it. But the time was not enough for them. When I became aware of it, they quickly repaired our ship and did innocently. But the set sail betrayed her attempt. We managed to set course to the next outpost with them on bord. At that time, we still thought we could maintain the alliance and view the previous behavior as misleading due to lack of communication.

On the way to the outpost a Megalodon attacked us. During the battle, the guests constantly intervened in odd ways. While we turned with the Megalodon in the same direction, they set sails, anchors and the like. They blocked cannons, but hardly fired. That endangered our success, we decided to end it and killed them both. Now, we thought, we reached a point to break the alliance. We continued to fight successfully against the Megalodon, collected meagre wages. Meanwhile, the sloop came hurrying back, dreaming of revenge and battle. We sailed away, but while they could drive undamaged, we still had to repair damages and bring water outboard. So they could catch up and try to enter us. Still not communicating with us, we fought back their attempts. Another attack of a Megalodon only hit them, so we could easily sail away.

At the next outpost, we met a single driver of a sloop. He didn't communicate either, but at least he didn't act untactical or disturbing. We formed a new alliance, I gave him a barrel of a thousand grogs, he came to us on board, we set sail again. Again a Megalodon attacked, what we defended, our new ally worked with us quite well. We then attacked a skeleton galleon. We would have liked to have told the ally that he should better do repairs below deck to stay alive, but he didn't hear or understand. So he died, we won. Another battle won against a skeleton ship later, he came back with his sloop, he followed us to the next outpost. We sold the treasures and skulls together, celebrated the day and ended in friendship.

Short message to the first "allied" crew:

    • Those who do not communicate are not understood and misunderstood.
    • Who behaves suspiciously, is potentially hostile.
    • Anyone who is a guest on an allied ship should behave like one.
    • Who intervenes on an allied ship without necessity, without sense and understanding in their maneuvers, is overpowering and disturbs the tactics of the hosting crew
    • who behaves like this is supposed to be an allied enemy

Short message to the second alliance:

    • Those who can communicate have the advantage
