It might also be beneficial to move as many new posts to appropriate sections when possible :) I know it's impossible to keep up with the amount of posts but it would help slow down the rate of clutter.

That's what we're trying to do! We know it's a frustrating experience for those who read and those who resurrect the threads, so we're moving all the older threads first.
