@hasnostyle hey if no one has told you as you level up in the game each level takes longer. Save your doubloons for level purchases until later when it will drastically cut your time. When you purchase status from duke it gives 1 full level. So 2 to 3 or 48 to 49. Still 1 levem

@hasnostyle ok so under your reputation tab there is Bilge Rat event commendations. You get doubloons by doing those commendations..and then in every tavern there is a bilge rat that you can speak to, to spend them on limited time rewards or gold or rep. Each bilge rat adventure or DLC that comes out will release new commendations with it so you can earn more doubloons to buy more limited rewards or other goodies depending on what you want to spend them on!

Talk to Duke in the tavern and youll understand better.

u get them from completing bilge rat events, simple as that. You can trade them in for gold, reputation, and limited time cosmetics.
