I'm always overly excited for new things in this game, despite how small or insignificant they may be. Everything just adds to the experience and enhances gameplay - my opinion atleast.

@realstyli Right? One of my faves growing up - this is what came to mind when I saw the teaser. For those who remember The Snorks, I salute you!

Ohhh new tats!

Maybe it works as a miniature skeleton fort (only this time with merfolk). You could find one these statues and start a battle, and at the end there would be a Captain/leader/boss mermaid. Then you would get some kind of reward.

My bet would be hold up your lantern to summon an evil mermaid which you then have to kill underwater... and some mermaids will be so strong you might need more people to help attack it?

That teaser was great... the promise of this event is pushing all my buttons, can't wait for the notes!!

@nefrit-od ARG. Looks like it might be one of the one's you need members from different crews..One held up the lantern and nothing happened....
The other guy never raised his lantern, Just a thought.

The devs created two types of megladons. One that does not attack and one that attacks on sight.

It just depends on which one you come across. I do believe that if shoot either one, it will attack.

I've seen the megladon from time to time . . . Can it attack you or does it just make its presence known?

If you don't attack it, it will swim around you and maybe take a little bite out of your ship. If you anchor in its "territory" it'll end up in a full-on fight just like the one from the event. I've beat an open world one before but you don't get anything from it.
